The warmth of Akluseth's hide, the deep steady rhythm of his heart pulsing at her back, brought a measure of comfort to Edyis that she couldn't remember achieving anywhere else. She studied the patterns of veins in his wing illuminated by Rukbat's light behind them as she rested, the wing draped over her like a living tent canopy hiding the rest of the world from view. His waves lapped restlessly at her thoughts, washing away the worries and the stresses of the day. She didn't fight it anymore, the way he set her thoughts adrift. « You ok wise girl? » She thought about it, the tired ache in her muscles, the formations and diagrams floating around in her brain. The arguments, disappointments, the judgement in people's eyes. But the more she tried to focus on the anger, the frustration, the sadness. The more Akluseth's waters washed it all away. "That your answer to everything? Just let it all wash away?" Edyis asks with a dark chuckle. « I know you can't hold up against the current forever. » Another wave of warmth and drowsiness washed over her, seeping down into her bones. "Go with the flow?" Eyes fluttering closed. « Who knows you may actually like it. »
