Page Creation
Page creation for characters and NPC is automated; new pages are created once an hour for both characters and dragons.
Page content is initially taken from +sheet. Data includes:
- Rank
- +glance info (age, height, hair, eyes)
- Home
- Birthplace
- PB
- Position (if applicable)
- Dragon (if applicable)
- Craft (if applicable)
- Craft Specialty (if applicable)
- Wing (if applicable)
- Owner (if NPC)
See +help sheet updates for information on how to set player-controlled values.
Data is updated from the +sheet system once a day.
Preloads
New pages are automatically preload with a number of useful templates.

Returns +wysk information for former characters, NPCs and anyone else whose wysk has been saved to the DB. Currently, this does not include PCs and can be ignored.
{{Family}} and {{FamilyEnd}}
These templates generate a table of data on any family members listed in +sheet. For each family member it lists:
- Relationship to the character
- Name
- Rank
- Age
As many of your character's family members will likely not be listed in +sheet, you can extend this listing manually by adding table rows between the two template tags. For example:

RP Logs
There are three templates under the banner of RP Logs:

Lists the newest 20 logs the character was involved in, with a link to previous logs. This template can be replaced with other strings from here.

Lists any logs the character was mentioned in.

Shows a gallery of a character's icons. See below for details on how to upload icons.
Adding Content
After a page has been created, more content can be added. To do so, browse to the page, and under 'Page tools' click 'edit with form.'
This will take you to a webform that will allow you to fill out other information including:
- Uploading a profile picture
- Mother
- Father
- Siblings
- Children
- Friends
- Livejournal or other URL
Below these options, there is another box where other information can be added (descriptions, histories, etc).
Categories
Categories are used sparingly. If your character is a dragonrider, you might like to add them to the appropriate category (, for example).
Categories may also be used to indicate former places a character has lived.
To select a category, simply tick the box in question.
Icons
Icons are used in logs; they are not required.
To upload icons for your character, click 'Add New' and then 'Multi-Upload'. Icons should be named with a prefix of the following:
- Icon <character name>
- Icon <Character name>
For example: Icon k'del.jpg or Icon K'del sad.jpg
Characters are limited to 50 icons.
Dragons
Dragon pages are also automatically created after they are added to the DTU system.
Data that may be pulled from that system includes:
- Dragon name
- Impressee
- Hatchling name
- Dragon color
- Wing
- Egg name
- Size
- Game Clutch ID
- Description
- Home
- Hatchsecs
- Dam
- Sire
- Hatch Date
Values can be set by your area admin; please contact them if there is anything missing from your dragon.
After your dragon has been created on the wiki, you can click 'Page tools' and 'Edit with Form' to fill out any other values. This includes the wiki clutch ID if applicable (as this value is different from the game clutch ID).
Data reuse
The NorCon wiki is designed to reuse data wherever possible. Values set in your profile (or in your dragon's) are then used elsewhere in the wiki to populate lists.
This data is refreshed once a day.
