| By midday on the 28th day of the 5th month, the Reachian riders detained at Crom were released after a seven day stint in the slammer. The reason for their release became known later in the day and while I'daur hasn't been seen yet, the rumor is that he's been demoted and is Weyrbound for the foreseeable future and that the Weyrwoman was seen leaving his ledge sometime earlier this week looking displeased. Still, the 'heroes' are returning to High Reaches, and the terms for their release run as wild as: they'll have to be Lord Crom's personal attendants for an extended period of time to the more reasonable, they will have to labor at Crom's behest in their off time (off camera) until reparations have been made in full. Still others speculate whether or not they're just being let off scot-free and if R'hin has finally somehow bulldozed concessions out of Lord Crom, if not closing mineholds than releasing his riders. Who knows? OOC: I'd like to extend my thanks and appreciation to N'thei for masterminding and executing a killer subplot within the context of an over-arcing storyline, and everyone who has helped make his life easier by actively participating and chiming in with their own ideas. It was awesome roleplay to read, awesome interactions to see, and was generally great all around. Thank you all for being so spectacular! For clarification's sake, while I'daur has been demoted ICly, he is still in charge of the weyrling program from an OOC standpoint. This situation will become subject of discussion and/or whatever whatnot closer to our upcoming Search cycle. With the theft plot wrapping up, I wanted to thank everyone who got involved. I've seldom seen such a great response from a group of players as I saw with this subplot. :) In no particular order, thanks go out to A'son and Jolak, fellow captured conspirators; A'zan, R'uen and T'rev, captors and general evil-minded Telgari; Gay, for letting us pick on her weyrlings; Satiet, for being cold IC and most helpful OOC; Amerie and Milani, the best at covering our tracks; Shanlee, a sounding-board and detached conspirator; B'yan, the Boy Who Ran Like a Girl; and I'daur, for taking the fall. :) |
