Dee doesn't wait long once Ka'ge has settled where he has with his lifemate before she leaves her own now dozing one. She crouches beside his cot careful to avoid stepping on the bronze, her hands folded on her knees, holding one another in her conscious effort not to fuss. "Kael," worried intonation of his name is paired with big worried hazel eyes.

Ka'ge's eyes are closed, though he does not appear quite relaxed enough to be asleep. Rather contained within a private conversation meant to keep them both in the realm of consciousness, it takes him a a moment after his name is called to realize it's beyond his mind rather than in it. One bluegreen eye opens and then the other, and a wry grin meets Dee's worry. "What's wrong?" As if it, certainly, isn't him. The bronze hatchling's little muzzle wrinkles in what is almost a hiss, but it's one which never arises. Instead, facets are dominated by colors of sedation, with hints of pain intermixed as the adrenaline of his birth and Impression begin to subside.

Caidelyth may have drifted quietly off to slumber, but Ead is still awake, watching over the tiny green as she sleeps. It's only when she's assured that the mind beside her won't wake for some time that she glances around, surveying the barracks and trying to take stock of exactly who has joined her in weyrlinghood. It's through this inspection that she spots Ka'ge, with Dee lingering closely and so concerned. Caidelyth's sweetness may have temporarily softened the sharpness of her expression, but it hardens again as she watches the pair.

Dee gives Ka'ge her best 'don't bullshit me' look. "Do you need anything?" is all that she decides to say in answer to the young man's words. "Does he?" is added to encompass the bronze that is now the other half of this whole. She's oblivious to observation and she might do the same for any fellow weyrling injured in this way.

Ka'ge has some amusement about him, though it's subdued, almost forced really. "They took care of me." That's not said with gratitude, mind. "I'm just waiting for the dragonhealers. Go to the feast. You deserve it." Seems all too-kind from the usual harshly sarcastic boy. A brief look goes beyond her to happen to fall on Ead, who gets a wink in spite of everything before he turns his head back up to the ceiling and closes his eyes. The bronze beneath him, vigilant in his own, fighting sleep despite full belly, partially oiled hide and rough start to the world- a bitterness such would make- only watches Taeliyth's, giving no indication of reply nor effect to the matter.

« He wishes yours to come later. » Zymadiath's shadows shift slower, at ease. Undulating like water may, they threaten to overtake, yet have too much to hide beyond their limits to fully encompass his inquisitive sister. « But for now doesn't wish her to worry, nor you. » (To Taeliyth from Zymadiath)

The fact that there's nothing outwardly untoward going on between the pair doesn't seem to allay Ead's suspicions - but perhaps that's just the effect of heightened emotions after the hatching. That certainly has to be the reason the girl turns pink when Ka'ge winks at her. To counterbalance that flush, she scowls all the more in their direction.

"They're all going to look at me," is said with annoyance that isn't just about the feast. Dee gives Ka'ge a hard look as she pushes back onto her feet, letting out a quiet breath that isn't quite a huff before she's turning to walk with resolve toward the exit without looking back.

To Zymadiath, Taeliyth barely cracks a sleeping eye at the bronze, a hiss of protest in her mind for the interruption of the unplanned but sorely needed sleep. « Dahlia, » Taeliyth emphasizes that 'hers' has a name, thankyouverymuch, « might, » which at least means she'll probably relay the message before she's heading back to dreamland with a will and a way. This is how unworried she is, mmk?
