| To Solith, Rasavyth reaches for the wisp of wind and essence that is Solith nearly as soon as the dragons keen. He doesn't try to do anything other than make himself an anchor for Solith against the storm of grief that he has no doubt will come when Leiventh is recognized as the presence no longer among them. He'll wait as long as she needs before he speaks, but he's there. She's a tumult, not the cyclone of flight but sharp as her sudden keen. There are other presences, aghast as she, some more rooted than others and some with connections-- but it's Rasavyth she jolts up against, grounding. Rasavyth, who's offered himself. (To Rasavyth from Solith) To Solith, Rasavyth is careful not to speak too soon. Not just for Solith's ability to take in any words he might give her in the wake of this, but so he doesn't have to correct himself; why add something else awful (like being wrong) to today? « Solith, » he says at length, his tenor gentle but not a purr now. « My K'zin wishes to come to your Telavi, but Jo bore witness. Jo is... » He tails off, letting the image plucked from K'zin flash for the green: Jo in tears, Jo distraught, Jo covered in blood. « Cadejoth will allow us to stay, to wait for her. He hopes your Telavi will understand. » She listens, eagerly even. And then she's-- horrified. Horrified. He's right; he's chosen his words well. His images also, if he wanted her to get it. Or to get something. Solith recoils, but she wants to hang on also, to listen, it's complicated. (To Rasavyth from Solith) To Solith, Rasavyth hesitates a moment and then his touch gentles. It doesn't fade, just becomes soft, warm, comforting in a different way. This? This is for Solith. Oh. That's better; she's responsive to that too. Though there's a sense that he had better not have blood, that his must not spill his, and if Solith doesn't wholly comprehend that that's Leiventh's rider's blood... maybe that's just as well. (To Rasavyth from Solith) « My K'zin is safe. I am safe. We are staying just to make sure Tacuseth's Jo and K'del's Cadejoth and Roszadyth's Farideh are all safe. » Rasavyth's tone is soothing as he makes this assurance. (To Solith from Rasavyth) « Stay safe, » Solith tells him, a flicker of fire outlining the words. In the meantime, they'll cope. (To Rasavyth from Solith) To Solith, Rasavyth's acknowledgment is there but he'll not make promises for too many things have been unexpected already today. They'll find the green pair, when they can- as soon as they can; that much he can promise. That much she'll take, and be grateful, even with the center of her wing lost. (To Rasavyth from Solith) |
