| What: Weyrlings are tapped into wings, there is a Turnover ball, and the disease killing the herds continues to spread. |

| On the first day of month 2, turn 25, the weyrlings from Elaruth and Mecaith's clutch were tapped into the wings following a celebration more plain and simple than is considered normal, with most in agreement that holding an elaborate feast would have been a poor show given the crisis slowly tightening its stranglehold on the Fort region. Following the arrest of a party of three during Fort Hold's Turnover Ball, two small holds situated in the south of Fort's coverage area are currently minus their holders, with rumour saying that they won't be returning any time soon. Since two confessed to a murder plot and attempted to (and indeed did) harm Weyrfolk, odds are that they're not going to see their homes again until they're old and grey, if ever. After telling all, the third might be better off kept locked-up safe and away from those who might seek revenge for his blabbing. Apparently, those who were involved in the plot believed that they had figured out the source of the disease that's thinning the herds at an alarming rate, though whether or not their conclusions are correct remains to be seen. One thing's for sure: as of yet, there's no cure for the disease and no sign of it slowing down. |
