On the evening of day 11 of month 2, a harmless race between a weyrling and adult dragon, around the Southern Bowl and over to the lake shore, turned somewhat more dire. Little golden Isyath took a slide out to the center of the lake, where the ice is thinner, and was followed by brown Selaroqoth -- who, being much heavier, began to sink down through the ice. As the brown started to sink and crack through the center of the lake, his rider, plus weyrling Ali and Harper Journeyman Felire, watched in abject horror as, suddenly, the dragon seemed to disappear. It's a good thing that Selaroqoth's just really good at flying and taking off from awkward places, as once the brown hit the bottom of the lake he shot right back up into the sky, so fast nobody saw him at first ... and took a good third of the ice covering Fort's lake up with him. Now that a greenriding AWLM dragonhealer, Ali, and Felire have situated him in a ground weyr for a bit, Selaroqoth is recovering from a little bit of hypothermia and a lot of muscle strain. His rider, D'ian, is spending most of the time mildly intoxicated, to keep from yelling at him.
