| Fort's Turn's End ball did not go to plan for terribly long, for the celebration was cut short by the storm that crept up on the region and managed to shatter the roof of the solarium. Some say the roof was actually struck by lightning, whereas others argue it was just the strength of the wind or a result of the thunder. Many were injured, including Headwoman Shevena, who will be unable to carry out her duties for the foreseeable future. Having been surrendered to the elements, the solarium is now sporting a temporary flat wooden roof. Who knew that the ties the Weyrleader created with the Woodcraft would prove to be so useful? |
