Clutch:Hrw12/Eggs
A collection of eggs clutched on the first day.
Hidden Flower Egg
Flares of yellow, looking as if they were brushed on with a wide paint brush, overlay a red-gold base, forming sweeping patterns out of soaring curves and twisting lines. Apparently at random, yellow covers orange, but a closer look at one side of the egg would reveal the strokes of yellow forming into a pattern. First a diamond, with lines coming together from four corners of the egg, then, in the center, blots of yellow, petal-like, streak outward to form a blossoming flower, delicate and delightful.

Azure Clouds Egg
Clouds of deep blue, almost black, mix with cobalt and topaz blues across this immense eggs surface. The levels of blue fade gently back and forth between each others, separated by black, lightning-shaped lines that race across the eggs surface at a slant. At the darker sections the blue can almost be said to hold a purple cast, and if looked at long enough this can be found to be somewhat true, mostly lining the black lightning that strikes the eggs surface with bold intent.

Heart of Opal Egg
Iridescent hues of grey, white, the palest of greens, and soft violets gently shift and spin over the surface of this lovely egg. Much like a true opal this egg seems too fragile for its protective task of nurturing the young life it holds. So to like an opal does this creation rage with hidden fires, lightening flashes of color - but only when caught at just the right angle and lighting. Its strength hidden from sight, quiet and tranquil, the small egg carries on its appointed task, soon to deliver a precious new life to the world.

Child's Globe Egg
Speckled with the happy colors of a little one's finger painting reproduction of a globe, this joyful egg bursts with surprising shades and combinations of color. Over a dark background, land masses of true reds and blues are highlighted by oceans of strong orange and violet mottling. Fresh greens and yellows form mountain ridges that peek through in tiny patches. Seeming to radiate the youth, energy and strength of its occupant, the hues are strong and vibrant, perhaps even larger than life.

Desert Ocean Egg
A vast desert viewed through an ocean of gently undulating water. Dunes of sun bleached sand pile high, driven forward and back again by the endlessly restless motion of the tide, water working upon the scenery just as the wind itself would. Scattered here and there in the dun hued grains are the deeper golds and browns of rock formations, eternal stone worn smooth by the abrasion of driven sand granules. The passage of a cloud before the sun high above the sea creates the illusion of oasises of shade trapped between each sun scorched hill of sand.

Spattered August Leaves egg
This egg, entrenched deep into the ground near the center of the Sands, is awash with the dark, moody colors of the fall. Jagged patterns of scorched brown clash with pale yellows and somber olive greens, creating random patterns along the crisp shell of the egg to give the whole the illusion of being covered with fallen multicolored leaves. Dark black crevices between the vibrant colors add a somewhat solemn air to the egg, while white highlights offer their sparkling presence along the outline of each leaf in cheerful contrast to the aforementioned darkness.

Shadowy Blue Egg
A deep royal blue, this egg looks as though it has craters and valleys of darkness running along its surface. Spiraled and looping, the blackness of the shadows twist about the dark blue in four-petal blossoms, first of black, then of blue. A trifle larger than its fellows, this egg sits half buried in the sands, concealing the swirled darkness underneath. Were it not for its large size and precious cargo, it might easily be considered a child's migsy, or an idle hobby of some glasscrafter.

Deep Jungle Egg
The striations across the surface of this egg are sure to call to mind the jungles of Ista or Nerat, though there is order here, where in nature there is chaos. Pale green leaves seem to overlap across the shell of this egg, shaded darker underneath. Cool and restful, the leaves call to mind spring and sunshine and cool glades for firelizards to play in. This egg is of medium size when compared with the rest of its clutchmates, and nestled in among the others, the hot volcanic sands warming the cool green of its shell.

Dewdropped Fern Egg
This egg, rather slender and tilted slightly toward the morning sunlight, appears to be wrapped fully around by luscious green leaves, moistened by a smattering of dewdrops. The jagged fronds that crisscross along the egg's surface seem to shimmer in the light; bright sparkling emeralds and jades that fade in places to deep, muted olives. Small flecks of crystal blue and muted white brighten the surface of the egg considerably while adding to the overall illusion that the egg is covered with fresh moisture.

Rolled Waves Egg
Of medium size in the egg mound, this egg shows brightly against the pale sand of the hatching grounds. Varying shades of blue roll and combine, like waves crashing onto the shores of Tillek, giving the impression that the occupant of this egg is tossed among the surf. The blue rivals the depths off the Tillek shore, and the bright blue of the summer skies over High Reaches. White-frothed caps swirl about the blue sea-foam marbled on this wave tossed egg.
