Fogged-In Inlet Egg

A pale egg, swathed in cool grays and lightest blues, this little sphere at first seems painted entirely by sky. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes plain that the milky hues only conceal undercolors of reflective blue and ponderous green, streaks of sienna and even dashes of violet, all paled to their most pastel shades by the fog that wraps them. The shapes take form as a long, narrow lake disappearing into a horizon along a perspective line formed by the curve of the egg's shell. Cradled between the gray-topped peaks, thick clouds meet water and soil, disguising whatever might live there.

Texture and Sound

The egg is smooth beneath your fingertips, varying in temperature from the shell-hardening warmth of the sands to the soothing coolness of a fallen leaf in autumn.

Try as you might, there's nothing to hear from this still and silent egg, not even the breath of a distant river.

There's a final crack and a blue is revealed as the contents of Fogged-In Inlet Egg.

Serene Tropic Calm Blue Mazinth

Blues and greens mingling into patterns and swirls of aqua and turquoise, dampened with a sheen as they reflect from this dragonets hide. As each limber haunch moves, creating lithe ripples in their wake that mesmerizes the viewer only to clash with the sereneness of movements from his shortened tail that creates a capping of white at its base. Folded wings carry the serenity higher, sun kissed speckles in deeper shades of navy that dance carefree through the dips and swells of wingsails. His long neck gleaming with the goo of his recent hatching, tiny shards of shell still clinging to him like barnacles to a solid rocky ledge. Pearl gloss gem facets dot his eyes that miss no detail around him, inquisitive and sharp to meet the wonders he sees. In every aspect he is the calm before the storm.

Temperament

The first thing you will find with Mazinth is that this blue will change moods so quickly, so suddenly; that you may feel like you will break under the waves of these emotions. At first, it may scare you because these changes will come with out any warning, however, with time you will learn to sense the subtle warning signs. A change of the pressure in your mind, a presence of a faint wind that only you can feel, all of these are signs are a foretelling of a coming storm. Fortunately, for you Mazinth will not be all rainstorms. He will have the days when he is bright and sunny just like a clear blue day. You will learn to cherish these moods because they can change at a blink of an eye. When he is agreeable though, he will make your whole day better by his bright personality.

Mazinth will seem very aloof when it comes to many things but you, including his clutch-mates. While the other dragons will be out playing tag in the fresh snow, you will find your Mazinth somewhere by himself. He will believe that he is too good for silly games and that he is sure there is something better he could be doing with his time. He will answer what his thinks are silly comments with a sarcastic tone like he is speaking to a child. « Yes, Brinath, water /is/ fun.» This attitude stems from the fact that he thinks he is better than everyone, which in turn makes you better than everyone else, too.

He will be very critical of everything you do at first. If it isn't perfect the first time, he will insist that you do over again until it becomes prefect. This of course will be a private matter between you and him. So don't be surprise if he wakes you up in the middle of the night demanding that you practice right then and there. « We must practice, Ad'ion. This way we will be ready for drills and everyone will see just how prefect we are. » During drills or around your fellow weyrlings he will be unwilling to admit either you or he did anything wrong, becoming very offended and a bit unmanageable if you are every corrected. This will most likely get you in trouble with S'din and/or the assistants more than a few times. With time and your help he may learn that even prefect people make mistakes, even if he may never learn to allow others to think that you or he are infallible in any way.

When it is time for Mazinth to chase, he will do so with out warning. He will be acting like he could not care in the least that the green is blooding, and the next moment he'll be there drinking the blood of a nearby wherry. When the green takes to the sky, he will fly across the sky like a tornado, sweeping up everyone and everything in his path. Win or loose, Mazinth will not be one to dwell on the flight. Not giving the green a second thought afterwards. After all, if she was caught that easily, she wasn't worth his time, and if he didn't win, the green just had bad taste in mates.

Public Impression Message

Serene Tropic Calm Blue looks into the charming blue eyes of a lad with unbrushed dark hair.

Private Impression Message

It's almost instantaneous: as your eyes meet those of the blue dragonet the world seems to explode open. The air in the heated hatching cavern seems fresher, the high ceiling even higher, smells sharper and colors brighter. « Ad'ion. » Mazinth - for it is indeed Mazinth who is with you here, now and forever. « I have found you, I choose you, and you are perfect. Together, we are perfect. »

Mindvoice

Mazinth's mindvoice is much like an open sky. It is endless as it is vast. When he is calm, bright sky blues blanket and warm your mind like a sunny day; his words flowing across the skyscape of your mind like fluffy white clouds. However, when the wind shifts, the background of his voice turns into a dark stormy gray; flashes of lighting accenting every word. He will always speak with a crisp and articulated tone never stuttering when he speaks. He will be very blunt and precise, never using two words when one will do. This gives him the over all tone of self-importance and superiority. When he speaks to you, however, his tone softens just a bit into a loving yet fatherly voice.

Dragon Inspirations

The name 'Mazinth' comes from the word for "rain clouds" in Arabic. His personality is based off of the weather in Texas, USA.
