Description

Strapping. At a height of 5'9, Azaylia manages to stave off angular awkwardness with solidity. Bronze complexion is rounded just about everywhere, defined limbs aiding in the fact that she's robust rather than overfed. Black hair falls well past her oval face, half-hearted curls adding waves to waist length locks. Beneath thick brows, doe eyes dominate her visage, brown gaze revealing a notably gentle nature. Rosy lips are shadowed by a slim nose, straight bridge coming to point. Her physique still carries modest though decidedly feminine curves; a delicate flower within the body of an amazon.

• Being stationed at High Reaches Weyr under Journeyman Mack has been her first trip outside of Keroon. Ever.

• Azaylia is soft spoken. Literally. Her words are often breathless, easily audible whispers... if there is such a thing. She also tends to squeak when startled, and even that isn't very loud.

History

Born in a small hold in Keroon to Beastcrafter Aziz and his wife Lihlee, Azaylia is what some may consider a typical farmgirl. Since she could crawl, the girl has had the idea of hard work and proper Hold life drilled into her head. Her upbringing may have something to do with her soft spoken nature, but it's not all to blame as Azaylia has always had a quiet way about her. With a gentle touch and never ending patience, Aza found herself spending more time with her father in the stables than with her mother in the kitchen.

In fact, her helping with the births as well as tending to the sick and injured animals became a regular occurrence. While this worried her father, he already had one daughter (Daizi) married off to a man who was quite successful in breeding Runners. And so, with the lax conditions most secondborn's enjoy, Azaylia was allowed to pursue her interest in all things fauna. With plenty of encouragement from her mother, it wasn't long before the quiet Keroon girl found herself at the Beastcraft Hall as an Apprentice by the age of 14.

Three turns later, Azaylia was offered the chance to broaden her training by following Journeyman Mack to High Reaches Weyr. The decision would not have been so easy if it weren't for the fact that her father had always shown an interest in breeding llamas. And so, with the duty to her family as well as her future in mind, the Apprentice founder herself stationed at High Reaches Weyr's new Craft Complex. Though the prospect of weyrlife (and dragons!) seemed frightening, the young woman was determined to keep an open mind.
