Large Golden Egg
As the person next to you gasps in awe, you crane your head to see what has caught their eye. Beneath Lyrith's watchful gaze, your eyes focus on what is surely the queen egg. Easily half again as large as its clutchmates, and set carefully aside so its radiance is all the more obvious, the glinting shell seems to make all the previous (and most likely all the future) eggs a pale shadow of its beauty. Every possible golden shade is somewhere on this egg, as though it is a glimpse into a miner's secret store of gold. Slightly blurred striations of black run from the crest of the egg to the bottom, giving the ovoid a marbled appearance. The glinting of light off its wet shell simply adds an ethereal beauty to it.
Despite the cacophony from stands and Sands, you fancy you can hear the large cracks spreading out over the surface of the golden shell of the queen egg. The egg is motionless for a few moments, then the shell breaks apart into large fragments, unfolding like a budding flower that cradles an Opalescent Fawn Gold dragonet at its center.
Opalescent Fawn Gold
Neither flashy nor bright, this dragonet nonetheless attracts your attention. Her hide is a very pale gold, glimmering with an inner opalescence that seems to surround her with a soft nimbus of light. She unfurls her diaphanous, fawn-coloured wings to keep her balance as she sweeps her gaze across the panorama of the sands. Her prismatic eyes seem to glimmer with reflected light, searching the sea of faces for the one she seeks, the one who will help her inner light glow even brighter.
