| The most recent word from Fort Sea Hold announces the impending marriage of the youngest of Holder Rivellan's daughters, Eidee, to the new Holder of Ruatha River, Rhuvawn. Rumour has it that Rivellan has made a few visits to the Weyr recently and has been seen speaking with the Weyrwoman and various Journeymen. It turns out that it's the talents of the Weyr's crafters that he wants to employ for the event. From the design and putting-together of the wedding dress, the preparation of the wedding cake and menu for the celebration, to the arrangements for drinks (some say he's requested a new drink be created for the event) and music, he's placed a great deal in their capable hands. All with the understanding that they co-ordinate with Fort Sea, of course. Isn't this all a bit fast? Some say that perhaps the happy couple might have got to know each other a little too well already. And isn't it kind of Rivellan to be so forgiving of past insults from the Weyr? There's certainly been no sign of his being any kind of careful with the amount of marks he's promised for the work. |
