| On Day 18 of Month 3, riders and residents from High Reaches went out to Crom to begin clearing the field for tilling and planting. This was interrupted by a broken fence that allowed through a rampaging herd of pigs, and though they were eventually herded back, all was still not well - apparently due to the riders K'del sent to inform the holder. Looks like there are /more/ people in K'del's bad books, because whatever got said eventually sent the Weyrleader to see Browden himself. What happened in THAT meeting has spread pretty quickly, despite what must have been the concerted efforts of those involved. A promise was made only recently (by whom? And why?) that the weyr would offer assistance to Browden's hold if required in the future, and Browden wants to call in that favour: he wants a new fence, built out of the weyr's boulders. And he wants it now. Though a temporary fence has since been erected (as of a couple of days later, anyway), the question still stands: will High Reaches lose their deal with the Minecraft for those valuable boulders? Will Browden get his wall? And whose fault is it? Most people are looking at K'del. He seems to be looking elsewhere. |
