Dragon Infirmary, Fort Weyr

Linked to a number of ground weyrs and the main Infirmary, this central cavern is roughly oval in shape and large enough to accommodate two or three smaller dragons if need be. A set of wide double doors lead out into the bowl and are rarely locked, in-case of emergency. Its white-washed walls hold several outcroppings for glows, focused around the main counter at the left of the room and the two beds set far enough apart for dragons to settle into the wallow-like dips between them. Equipment is stored in the (locked) cabinets behind the counter and the glass-covered shelving units carved into the wall, wide and deep enough to hold the necessary quantities to treat injuries of a larger scale.

Most riders have dispersed for the evening through the living caverns, baths or other places unknown. E'ten should be counted in that number except he's... helping out. Technically, it's time for him to think and with ample time to do so in the silence of infirmary. Cleaning up for the night and the person who will likely take over such duties, the bronzerider is scanning the logs with interest at this point to understand who's due tomorrow afternoon. After drills. Attired still in his leathers, it may be no surprise that at least the jacket has been set aside on a nearby chair.

A foreign rider visiting the Weyr is nothing out of place, though the hour is perhaps a little unusual for N'ky to be visiting the dragon infirmary, without apparently having cause to do so - his lifemate is certainly looking well, where she waits for him in the bowl. The young greenrider comes up to the duty desk, clearing his throat to get E'ten's attention, and waits until he's got it before smiling at the bronzerider. "Um... h-hi. I... E'ten, right?"

"Yes?" Spoken without turning around initially, E'ten regards the young rider with a nod and slower look of observation. "N'ky, right? Have you been able to bring by your intended to the Fountain at all?" He might be right with this name and face combination - maybe. Setting aside the hidework, he gestures to a nearby seat for the other rider to sit or stand depending on which.

"N'ky, yes," the 'Reachian confirms with a nod. "M-my... intended? Oh -- oh! Hana? N-no, no, I've... no. She's, um... no." He blushes furiously, rubbing awkwardly at the back of his neck beneath helmet-crushed curls. "A-actually I came because, um... I - I mean, we, Cailluneth, well... she, um... there were a couple of your dragons in her flight a few days back and, s-she um... she injured one. A bronze. I d-don't know who, though, and I, um... I wanted to apologise, i-if you can help me?"

"Sure. I can tell you if the rider is due to arrive, if that helps," E'ten offers, listening to the stammering while closing the books with the faintest of sounds. "Which dragon?"

N'ky shakes his head, shrugging his shoulders. "I... I don't know. Bronze, and... big, quite b-big. He'll have, um, claw marks? Maybe bite marks. I... I c-can't really remember exactly..." And he huffs in frustration, shrugging his sinking shoulders. "Sorry. I'm n-not much help."

"What about your Cailluenth," E'ten asks with a turn about to face the young man with a tilt of his head towards the bowl. Almost as if listening for something. "The only bronze that I have heard of with recent injuries was Rhenth, but you'd have to check with his rider as to if he's been to the 'Reaches lately."

"Cailluneth?" N'ky blinks, biting down on his lip. "Wh-what about her? She's, um, good... she's very good, actually, after the flight." A blush creeps up his cheeks, and he rubs the back of his neck, head canted slightly to one side. "Rhenth? Rhenth. I... hrm." His loses focus for a moment, checking in with his lifemate. "She can't tell me if that's right, but, um, his rider... I remember his rider? His rider was tall." The greenrider raises a hand above his own head, suggesting even taller than his own 6'3 height.

"Usually they can tell you who was who during a flight. Or so I would have thought," E'ten curiously remarks while moving to reach for his jacket that resides nearby and just within fingertip range. That, may be from the male rider's perspective at the very least. "Or, beyond that to any time. Otherwise, you might be at a loss to find the right rider. Or.." With a quirked grin, he notes, "You could frequent the infirmary to see who shows up."

N'ky shakes his head. "She doesn't know. Only Reisoth - he caught her." N'ky frowns, then shrugs. "I just know he's Fortian, taller than me, and a bronzerider. I... I guess I'll have to ask around, or, well... Rhenth, you said? Maybe Cailluneth will speak to him." From the way he says it, he's not too sure if his lifemate will actually do it. "I'm, um, sorry for wasting your time, E'ten. I thought it might've been easy, but..." Shrug. He was wrong!

E'ten chuckles even though the lad's shrug causes him to regard the other rider thoughtfully. "It's a good attempt. And it's not unheard of to find a greenrider apologizing for a flight, but honestly? These things happen. There's no real way to keep it from happening unless you ground your dragon. Speaking as the rider of a male dragon. But Rhenth. You might find out something useful, but I haven't been to the Reaches in awhile." It's the least that he can offer in suggested assistance to the visiting rider before they both go their own ways. "Good luck and clear skies, N'ky."

"Clear skies, E'ten. Thanks again." N'ky fires off a neat salute as he gives the bronzerider another apologetic little smile, before turning to trot out and back to his lifemate. Maybe he'll find who he's looking for... maybe not!
