Somber Slate Egg
At first glance the egg seems a shade of black, tessalated with darker black shadings. As your gaze wanders along the rough appearing texture of the egg the underlying shade reveals itself to be a somber slate blue, much like the rock on high and distant hillsides. The black filigree that flows around the large egg makes it resemble a rockslide that has somehow fallen to hot sands of the hatching ground. A air of stillness surrounds the egg as if watching and waiting for some sign of mountain wind.
The egg breaks and cracks at the top to expose an evenly shaded blue snout. The dark blue body clambers out of the opening, squawking in alarm, as the egg, now extremely top heavy, falls over onto its side, depositing the dragon unceremoniously on the ground right in front of his father and mother. He creeeeeeels as he struggles to get off his back and onto his feet. After a few clumsy attempts, he rights himself and BUGLES proudly, only to lose his balance again and go stumbling off towards the candidates...
Shadowed Sapphire Blue
The dark blue of this dragonet is striking and almost overwhelming as you gaze at the glistening hide. When he fans his wings(nearly black at the tips) to dry them, you can *just* see the light coming through, illuminating the hide to a deep and clear royal blue. The hide gets gradually lighter as you approach his middle, an even almost unnoticable fade to a lighter shade. His body and head are a still lighter shade of blue, but just as rich. You see traces of a darker blue in an uneven pattern across his belly and his body, like passing shadows.
Public Impression Message
Shadowed Sapphire Blue Dragonet bugles again, but the tone has changed into one of utter joy and relief.
