The soft brown of canvas wraps over his lanky frame, muted hues of raw sienna sweeping from the tip of his nose down his knobby legs until being gobbled up by the chocolate that paints his paws and the very tip of his forked tail. He is all legs, tail, and wings for now, sails of pale camel framed by wingspars brushed with the same sepia tone that pools in the tender crevases where arms and legs meet belly.

Perfectly Normal Boring Egg
The surface of this blandly boring egg is white and even, completely dull and uninteresting. Seated next to some more wild and out there eggs, it doesn't bear much attention. While this egg has the appearance of something normal - and quite dull - from afar, a closer inspection one gives leads to noticing chinks and dints in the shell, as if it's been damaged somehow. The shape of it, too, seems odd - more sharply pointed at one end than the other.
All at once, Perfectly Normal Boring Egg is struck from within, and its shell is splintered with cracks. Another strike is delivered and cracks appear on the egg's other side, crude lines cutting across the pale ovoid from one side to the other until one last blow from within sends shell fragments flying in every direction.
Too Much of a Good Thing Brown Hatchling

Temperament
Impressing Gryth is like becoming the You you've always wanted to be. There is no doubt, no fear, no worry. Gryth is confidence and ambition personified, and because of how strongly he will attach himself to you, you will become confidence and ambition personified too - even if just in the beginning until you get the hang of life with Gryth. You will not simply feel that you could do almost anything, you will KNOW that you can do anything, and you will want to do everything that comes your way with gusto. There will be no question about who you are or what you can do because you can do everything and you are awesome. However, that unwaivering confidence and positivity only comes to you when Gryth is awake which means the moment he falls asleep you may feel like worries and fears you never realized you had become overwhelming when he goes to sleep. Welcome to life with Gryth - it's going to be a rollercoaster ride!
Weyrlinghood will be the best and/or worst days of your life. Gryth is a powerful personality and at first when he is awake, you will feel better than you've ever felt before. And unlike some dragons who have a telltale 'voice' or 'smell' or 'feel', Gryth's Impression on you won't feel or sound or smell like anything at all. You almost won't even know he's there. You will simply know you are Bria and Gryth and you can do everything. Until he falls asleep. Then all his influence fades, and any worries you had will come flooding back to you. But eventually he'll wake up again and everything will be right again in the world. So right that you may become an overconfident overachiever and drive your fellow weyrlings nuts with your competitive drive (especially since Gryth will be very susceptible to Ihvaiyth's ideas). Learning how to control Gryth's influence on you will be a very difficult obstacle to overcome but if you don't, it may serve as a double-edged sword as you both grow together.
The first negative consequence of Gryth's influence will be injuries. Being overambitious means you and Gryth will get hurt a lot because young, unskilled dragonriders and dragonets who don't respect their physical limitations end up with a whole host of injuries. But even once you develop those skills that will make you such a great dragonriding pair, if you can't get a grip on Gryth's influence on you, you will be the best dragonrider with very few close friends. N'muir might like you but you don't want N'muir to be your only friend. That's sad. But with the right balance of control, there is no limit to what you and Gryth can achieve together.
If there is one thing that Gryth will love more than anything else, it will be flights. There is no better activity to challenge and reward his skills - /your/ skills - than chasing females. Golds, greens, heck, he'll even enjoy chasing males - in a non-sexual way, anyway. But chasing proddy females is where it's at, and he will get really, really good at it.
There is a temptation in being consumed by a personality so confident and sure of who it is and what it is capable of, and you may find that when life is hard it is harder not to give in to him. He will always make you feel good and whole and loved in a way that no one and nothing has ever or will ever for the rest of your life. Life with Gryth will be hard at times, especially in the middle of the night, but if you learn balance and control, there will be nothing that you can't accomplish with him.
Public Impression Message
Too Much Of A Good Thing brown hatchling explodes from his shell and doesn't wait to learn how to use his feet before he's awkwardly galloping across the Sands, his wobbly legs giving out every few steps so that he's half-galloping half-summersalting towards the line of youngsters. He creens loudly and caws at the row of Candidates that he's making his way towards. He knows who he wants, and he isn't going to just stand around wasting time learning to walk. Unfortunately, he doesn't make it all the way there before he's tumbling over and landing in a tangled heap of long legs, wings, and tail. And from the pile of tangled dragonet, there is one singular caw as if to say 'Hey. Are you gonna' help or are you just gonna' stand there?'
Private Impression Message
You feel good - better than you ever have before. You look up into the Galleries and see those thousands of eyes staring at you and it feels good; you feel proud to be here and not there. The scared faces of some of the other boys and girls look at you from across the Sands. What are they scared for? There is nothing to be afraid of, nothing to worry about. Whatever fears or worries or self-conscious thoughts you have just simply float away and are replaced with an unwaivering confidence and happiness, and you don't hear any words but you know Gryth is there. And you know he's hungry. And you need to untangle his legs because he's stuck. So do it.
Mindvoice
To you, Gryth will almost never 'sound' like anything. He is you, you are him, his thoughts are your thoughts and your thoughts are his thoughts - there is absolutely nothing that will distinguish him from you. He's hungry, you're hungry... you won't /think/ about it, you'll just satisfy his needs as if he's an extension of your own body. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have a voice - he does (or he will), and you will hear it when you are blocking him too much. Gryth 'learns' his voice from others so he'll sound like the other dragons he comes across. His voice will chameleon from Isyath to Vhaeryth to Bijedth to Ihvaiyth - or maybe he'll splice everyone's voices together and create a chorus of voices all saying the same thing. He'll also mimic their smells and images too.
Dragon Inspirations
Gryth just materialized on his own. He wasn't inspired by anything or anyone other than wanting to create a personality that was fun to play, wasn't negative by nature, and would make for easy 'hooks' to use in scenes.
Egg Inspiration: Dexter Morgan from the TV show Dexter, an expect at the appearance of normality when he is anything but.
Name Meaning
Gryth's name was created to fit your preferences of a short, simple name in a harsher contrast to Bria's own.
