As smooth as water, this dragon's hide is a green with hints of aquamarine as if blurred into her general color, much like the waters found in Boll or even points further south. Her sleekness is constant throughout forearms and hind legs, and even her ridges lend themselves to a gentle curve that could be found in the most subtle of waves. With well-defined color throughout, the only difference may be in her wingsails: speckled more along the underside of the sail, there are hints of gold, green, and an entire myriad of colors. On closer examination, this same trend flickers across each talon with a slight oddity of a tail that seems to be shorter than proportional.

Study in Sanity Egg
Though slightly lumpen and rectangular in general appearance, this still curved egg is a landscape of unrelieved black upon one half that is disturbed only by markings of intense yellow-ochre and sepia-brown upon its other side. When viewed from afar, lines, swirls, and curves of similarly hued light and darkness along the colored half give the impression of what might be lips and a nose, and dark brown splotches in others offer hints of an eye, nostrils, and an eyebrow. A feeling of loss, of sorrow and wisdom exude from the odd half 'face,' backed up by the overall murky tones staining this egg.
There's not much wibbly-wobble associated with this egg. Not excessively. A lean to the right. Another lean to the left before one crack and then another bump from the inside sends the shards flying outward.
Utterly Reasonable Logical and Green Hatchling
As smooth as water, this dragonet's hide is green with hints of aquamarine as if blurred into the general color. Much like the waters found in Boll or even points further south. With well defined color throughout the only difference may be in her wingsails. Speckled more along the underside of the sail, there are hints of gold, green, and an entire myriad of colors. On closer examination, this same trend flickers across each talon with a slight oddity of a tail that seems to be shorter than her clutchmates'.
Temperament
In her youth, you may well find it odd (and perhaps alarming) Suraieth's tendency to remain very rigid when still. You'll have a few of those nights where you wake and wonder if she's still breathing - which she'll find puzzling, explaining to you straightforwardly, « Why would I waste unnecessary energy? » When she does move, it's always for a reason, not simply for the act of it - this makes Suraieth's very moments telling hints of her mood or opinion about things, something you'll adjust to as she starts to grow into her own. Emotionally, she may be difficult to adjust to, at first. She struggles to control her emotional reaction to things - but like all young dragons, nearly everything elicits an emotional reaction. Once she gains control of this - with your help - your bond will settle into something more companionable, and you may find her difficult to read until you get to know the tip of her head that is her inquisitiveness, or the flick of her tail that denotes her interest.
She is hard to "logic" - you may try and reason with her, and while your explanations might make sense to you, she will interpret them in a way that will leave you puzzling over the gap between what you said and what she got out of it. "Suraieth, you need to move so I can put down fresh rushes for you!" « No I don't. I go away and come back and there are fresh rushes there for me. » "But I did that." « I don't remember that. » It's not that she disbelieves you, but the evidence of her own eyes, and her own experiences are weighted above yours in her decision making process. It won't take her long to get the idea of cause-and-effect, though - she's too smart for that - and while you know she has a longer memory than most and a keen mind, she'll often use others' assumptions to her own advantage.
While this approach on life from a different angle may well lead to conflict, Suraieth strives to do all that she can to assist you. While she knows her place as a dragon of Pern, she isn't by any means haughty; she has plenty of her dam's inquisitiveness, and a desire to seek out new people - even if she doesn't quite /understand/ them. She'll rely a lot on you to explain to her the more puzzling aspects of the world, though what she gleans from your explanations might be quite unexpected. « Ihvaiyth is a green. I am a green. Therefore, since Ihvaiyth didn't make that turn, I should also, in support. It is only logical. »
She will never purposely make life hard for you, but you may well find that life in a less strict wing is more suited to her way of thinking. The endless explanations of why she has to be /here/ in this moment and /there/ in the next might fail to take root without the actual /experience/ of thread to give her the context of why it's so important. Suraieth is much more inclined to go her own way, and she'll thrive in matters of search and rescue, or assisting you on some important diplomatic mission.
Despite her pride in her Fortian heritage, when it comes time to flights you'll find that she has a penchant for out-Weyr dragons. She finds new faces fascinating, and her desire to learn more of them will inevitably lead to her a little too close during flights. While she may understand your preferences and your reasons for those preferences... she is, after all, Suraieth, with her own draconic way of viewing the world, and she will make her own decisions.
In all, Suraieth is a green that follows her own rules by what makes sense - to her. These lines of logic may make sense to you or it may serve to be more grounds for frustration. No matter what, it'll be a chance to see things in different ways be it good or bad. Where it takes you is entirely up to the choices made - or is that logic?
Public Impression Message
No. Wait... No. Not that one. With each slow but firm step of the Utterly Reasonable Logical and Green dragonet's legs, she keeps looking left and then right in hopes of seeing her target. Her person as it should be and always have been. Ah. There. This one, I choose.
Private Impression Message
At once, everything makes sense. It doesn't matter if it's human or dragon, it simply.. IS. The mindvoice that reaches out to touch yours is so firm, so certain that this is where she is meant to be. This is who she's meant to find. The voice is smooth with undercurrents of water, of everything flowing into its rightful place. But, there is an underlying firmness to the dragonet's mental voice as her eyes remain fixated with yours. « N'dalis. It IS you. I am Suraieth. It feels like I have only started my journey. I hunger. I itch. » The lack of questions is because this reasoning is true. It is Fact.
Mindvoice
If there was any element that Suraieth incorporates into how she addresses you and others, it's water. It flows like time and logic - always even but prone to the occasional bump, jostle and discontent based on circumstances. And as a result, there's a clean, refreshing touch to her mental voice when pleased or in general conversation with her dragons. When she's angered however, is when the element steels itself into the hardest form of water - ice. No matter what, logic dictates all.
Dragon Inspirations
In the quest for figures that are intelligent and simply don't see the world as the rest of us humans, the inspiration for your dragon came from two notable personas: Lady Jessica Atreides and Spock. Jessica is more of the pre-Atreides Bene Gesserit that I had in mind for Suraieth. She has the capability to see things differently than humans, yes. But ultimately at the end of the day, she can disregard what people say in favor of what information is in front of her. Spock. I can see Suraieth addressing many of the circumstances that befall her in the same mannerisms as this particular Vulcan raised persona.
Egg Inspiration: Marlon Brando.
Name Meaning
You requested a name with a dipthong and to be feminine. Suraieth (SOO-ray-eth) fulfills both requests, but it is also simplistic compared to other dragons. Yet, feminine keeps to the idea that greens are for all intents, girly and frilly.
