| Accompanying the conclusion of most of the changes to the Weyr's financial running, month 3 sees a fortnight's training of the headwoman's senior staff, delivered by Erinta and overseen by the Weyrwoman. Copies of new documentation as to how to handle the stores and elements of the Weyr's finances become available to all of the assistant headwomen and some heads of department, with the expectation that it will be read, meetings will be attended, and information disseminated where necessary, to ensure that consistency of procedure is in place no matter who a rider or resident addresses their enquiries to. From some, the comments are inevitable: why are they being trained to do what they already know how to do? Others seem grateful, though more weary, given that the training has been added to the daily routine instead of redirecting time from other duties. And there are those who decide that the whole affair is more for Erinta's benefit than anyone else's, and that it's more about the delivery of the training than its content. |
