It's been a difficult few months for Lujayn, all told: for the third time in her life she's going to miss out on the Senior Weyrwoman's role to someone less experienced, and then there's the fact that /her/ dragon was the reason I'kris ended up at High Reaches. More than a few people have made remarks about her role in the whole affair... some have even, rather uncharitably, suggested she might have been involved. It's three months to the day since Iolene's murder when Rielsath is seen taking one last sweep around High Reaches' bowl before disappearing, laden down heavily. Official word is that the junior has transferred to Honshu, taking her daughter with her. Those more in the know might share further that aging Xia, with no juniors of her own, personally invited the goldrider. Of course, this leaves High Reaches with only the two young queens, and while they do seem to have acquitted themselves well enough in these past three months, no doubt further tests await. Is it really wise to leave the Weyr with two such untried goldriders, without a more experienced hand to back them up? Time will only tell.
