The barkeep takes his time with the drink, so it's several minutes after that Edyis eventually makes her way over Flashing a crooked smile at the Barmaid and Jo herself.

"Getting into trouble already?" Her voice a little lower and rougher sounding than normal, but if Jo looks her in the eye there's nothing but mischief written into the expression. "You are a hard lady to track down you know." Making to settle herself at the table without further introduction or request.

When 'Edyis' arrives to her table, dressed as a boy, the barmaid immediately straightens up from her hunched lean away from Jo and pats something into the pocket of her skirt. The nod given to Jo is perceptible and easy to miss as she casts Edyis a look and bustles away about her business. Eyeing the 'boy' with the narrowed eyes of someone trying to place their face, "'N ya lookin' for me 'cuz...?" she prompts, claiming her filled mug to herself.

To Tacuseth, Akluseth silvery bubbles filter and roll through turquoise waters, a greeting, of sorts. But also masculine giggling.

An arch of a dark brow meets that narrowed look, absently she scratches the front of her neck, "Interruptin' something important? Heard you knew how to have a good time." Something faintly disbelieving fluttering in that expression, but also just a touch of something akin to pride. "Granted you make a person travel a long ways ta find ya." Not dropping the accent for one moment. "Starting to think yer avoiding me."

Jo's gaze unfocuses for only a brief moment as she was about to take a drink, but something received through her connection to her dragon pauses her from drinking and draws her gaze back at Edyis with just a fain glimmer of recognition. Slow to lean back as if she was getting comfortable, she nods to the chain before her as she asks, "What's up with the get-up, Ed? Ya always go out dressed like a farm boy?" She doesn't look like she was going to answer on the avoidance, but it's a moment later that she says, "I have things that need doin'. Figured ya would understand more'n most. 'Sides, ya see me at drills almsot everyday."

Tacuseth is easy in his shadowy greeting, the tendrils of a sleepy dragon evident in his touch. (To Akluseth from Tacuseth)

Edyis laughs, "Old habits I guess. Didn't feel like getting changed after sweeps. And if I get myself into mischief it doesn't reflect poorly on anyone this way." Lifting the mug to her lips. "Not quite the same thing, drills. And I do understand, but there're some things you just don't talk about at drills." Her glance shifts over to the pair swinging it out with a frown. "Speaking of which I've got a few bottles of whiskey with your name on em."

"Habits," Jo picks out, still studying the get-up. Meeting her gaze now, "If ya wanted to talk, ya know how to reach me," and she gives a slow nod towards the entrance in the direction of where her dragon is. "That's never changed. Still in the bottle business?" Whatever fight that's going on around doesn't seem to have her interest at all - or, it's likely she's seen too many in her life that it's of no consequence as she focuses only on Edyis.

"You seemed busy, and I was a little curious." Her lips stretching wide in a crooked smile. "A person's gotta make a living, even though the plague has been declared gone for several months, there's a good amount of rebuilding to be done. Wondered if you knew of anyone who might be looking for a few bottles." A flicker of concern appears and vanishes quickly enough.

"Then that defeats the purpose regardin' avoidance, don'it, darlin'?" Jo manages to both chide her and tease her all at the same time as she takes a drink. "I can't be avoidin' ya if ya don' reach out. We all have our business to attend to beyond the Weyr. Now. As for yer bottles, I'll always know someone that may have need for it. Or, 'least need it after I talk to'em. How many are we talkin'?" Then, as an afterthought in an ensuing pause she adds, "If it's any consolation, I don' much hang out 'less I have the time for it. I haven' really seen Alida or N'rek or some of my 'mates other than Farideh'n that's only 'cuz she's seekin' me out'n pro'bly makin' sure I haven' turned feral."

Edyis smirks, "I didn't think you were seriously avoiding me." Teasing the bluerider back. "I think about six crates? I'll have to check again." There's a somewhat sheepish expression at the mention of N'rek's name and a nod for Alida. "When things finally right themselves we should drag her out for a night, she worked hard with the dragon infirmary and could probably use a break. You don't turn feral, you are feral, there's just the question of the degree." The brownrider snorts.

Nodding, "Send me the numbers'n I'll go shop'em 'round," Jo tells her as he lingers on her drink. "I know some bars that would use'em. The poison bar, especially. They need some liquor to act as a base for their more noxious toxins." A brow lifts when she notices that sheepish look from the Telgari's name, and the wingsecond eyes her mug as she asks, idly, "Ya talked to'em much? 'N, perhaps we should. With Alida. Wonder if she's still in that wing." As for turning feral, there's something lopsided to her grin at that, meeting Edyis' gaze as she says, "Well. More feral than I usually am. Reckon she's been worried."

Edyis nods again. "I'll get them to you later tonight." N'rek's name earns a nose wrinkle, "The plague hit when everything was going on, and there's not been much of a chance to clear the air." Sounds mildly evasive but dropped in favor of discussing Alida, "I think so, but they still keep culling wings as the number of riders goes down, so who knows long term." Her nose wrinkles at worried, "Never would have pegged her as the type, but then again I've never been a great reader of people. haven't seen much of Irianke either or Jocelyn come to think of it. Though the weyrlings will probably shadow with us soon. Mielline have her eye on anyone yet?"

"The plague fucked a lot of things up," Jo agrees archly. "We survived, though. I reckon he has, too." She seems willing to let the matter drop in favor of Alida though, the wingsecond nodding. "She may get her wish if she hasn' already," she says easily. "Though, now the focus has been on dealin' with the depleted holds and our tithes."

There's a bit of a smirk on the topic of Farideh, the woman inclining her head as she says, "I've close to learn that those claws of hers are retractable. There's a gentle soul 'bout her. A shame she's not open to havin' more'n one lover in her bed." Beat. "If Mielline has an eye on someone, she hasn' told me," is her answer on the weyrlings. "Save for a few, I don' know'em that well. Should be interestin', seein'em come by Snowdrift."

"He did, Akluseth and Largath keep in touch." Edyis echoes quietly, "I'm just glad Greta recovered, at least, she told me the hall is transferring her to Honshu next month." Eyeing her mug, "She'll probably wear down the next time her gold goes glowy, And who knows maybe there will be an interesting one in the bunch."

"Are ya okay with that?" Jo seems to linger on not clarifying to which question, and a few breaths later, "Her movin' to Honshu?" On the young weyrwoman, there's a snicker and a, "I gather ya don' like her much." It's not even a question. "Are there any weyrlins' ya think would be good for the wing?" she asks now, suddenly.

Edyis is slow to answer, when Jo clarifies, her brows furrow. "I think it's what she needs, I can't remember a time when she and Gerta weren't together, I loved my sister but I imagine it's, even more, painful for Greta. As long as she's thriving and happy she can move wherever she wants to go." Edyis answers earnestly at last. Of Farideh there's a lift of the shoulders, "Hard to know, I don't think I've ever really known who she was or what she was about." Edyis considers the last, "I'm partial to Pia, Not really a fan of Lys. She's too mercurial, or, at least, was before she impressed, who knows about after. Don't really know enough about the rest to say. Should probably try to get to know them, now that Akluseth can't cause trouble."

"Family is like that," Jo seems to relate, somewhat, nodding. "Reckon ya visited'em after this plague ban?" She seems to consider the choices Edyis gives on weyrlings for the wing, brows furrowing a bit. "Pia could be a fit," she allows slowly. "As for Lys, I know a bit 'bout her. She comes by whenever I'm down at the greenhouse at night. I don' know her in a way to determine if she's a fit, but..." A shrug is given.

"I did, Greta and Giorgee both." Edyis nods, "What's your take on her?" Mildly curious about the weyrling, or perhaps distracting herself from other thoughts. Stretching. "I have to admit, I never thought I would wind up in Snowdrift, but it's hard now imagining being anyplace else. I guess that's what time does."

"My take on Pia or Lys?" Jo asks, slowly draining for her mug. Something Edyis adds draws a spark of interest from the bluerider as she plays with the rim of her mug. "So ya finally find yerself at home there," she says, amused. "Guess I have to say the same. I still consider myself a Glacier girl, but Snowdrift resonates with me. Or, maybe it's the knot that resonates. Might take a'lil longer for me to lay down where I've spent most my 'rider life. Yer thinkin' of climbin' the rank ladder soon?"

"Lys, Pia too, though," The former scribe clarifies, and there's a shrug at the amusement in Jo's expression. "The knot does suit you." Edyis laughs, "I would be hard pressed to try, It will only get more difficult too as they condense the wings, but the idea of being responsible for something, does kind of appeal to me. Who knows if it will actually happen or not. I imagine I've still got quite a bit to learn about people before anyone even considers the idea."

"Interestin' girl, that Lys," Jo admits conversationally after a moment's thought. "I can't help but think she's got a past. Somethin' 'bout her that makes me think that. I dunno Pia all that well other than her name. Always has a smile on her face. A lot of the less-tough wings would likely want her." As for ranks, the wingsecond is easy to say back, "Ain' nothin' wrong with havin' a goal. I wouldn' mind bein' a wingleader one day. Didn' think I'd want that, but, it has a certain appeal."

Edyis shrugs, "Probably so. I'll buy the next round to that, then help me figure out who to bet on next yeah?" The pair content to spend the rest of the evening catching up.
