By breakfast time of day 15 of month 13, a good number of the Weyr's dragon population had been alerted to the fact that there were now ten eggs sitting on the hatching sands, all neatly arranged and tucked under their dam's wing. The news came not from Elaruth herself, but from Bijedth, who had spent the early hours of the morning providing something of a boastful, cheerful running commentary for anyone who would listen. It's a larger clutch than the Senior's last, but will all the eggs prove to be viable? If any bad blood remains between the Weyrleaders, it seems to have been temporarily put aside. At least for as long as it took for the two to be seen at breakfast together. Maybe they were just too tired to ignore each other.
