Sweeps. Sweeps in the sleet. He hated sleet, it was like cheap snow. Snow that couldn't bother getting all the way made so it was just colder rain. It would be a good excuse to go down to the Snowasis and get a drink, sit by the hearth. But he couldn't imagine having to listen to all of that crap they'd be talking about. Not for another consecutive night when he was trying to relax. "And what do you think, A'son?" "What does N'thei think?" "You guys gonna man up and take care of this? Like ol' times?" "Yeah, I bet you guys already got a plan or somethin'." No. At least he wasn't. He didn't. He wasn't going to go charging into this lit firework situation like it was ten something turns ago. Times had changed. He had a daughter to think about, a weyrmate. He considered himself retired from that sort of shit. But he did have an opinion: it was all damn irresponsible and stupid. And he wished K'del all the luck on Pern trying to win the Weyr back. Meanwhile he and Nikoth would continue to pretend that Szadath and Arekoth just didn't exist. Along with their respective riders.
