Category:Divided Leadership Logs
After Iolene's murder (by the cowardly I'kris), High Reaches' two youngest goldriders, Azaylia and Brieli, were flung into the hotseat: Rielsath was still on the sands with her clutch, and that meant one of the two young queens would certainly be the first to rise. The pair elected to lead together, with K'del-appointed B'sil as Acting Weyrleader (K'del quit his post after the murder, allegedly lost in grief), until one of their queens rose.
It was a full eight months later when Hraedhyth began to show signs of proddiness. Soon after, Brieli and Iesaryth went south for 'vacation', and, allegedly, mild illness. It was thus a surprise to everyone when, on the 18th day of Month 11, Turn 30, both queens rose in tandem, from opposite sides of the globe. What was even more surprising was that both were caught by browns... and one of them, by a brown with a female rider of all things.
For now, Azaylia, Brieli, H'kon and Taikrin seem to intend to work together to lead the Northern Weyr. But former Weyrleader K'del is not alone in his horror and dismay at the situation... and he seems determined to step in and 'protect' the Weyr he loves. How that turns out, well - who can say?
Factions
People may fall into one of these factions. Of course, not everyone is strictly one or another-- there's plenty of room for shades of gray.
If you think your character falls into a faction not covered here, feel free to add it!
- Bronze is Best - The Weyr should be led by one gold and one bronze, and anything else is unacceptable.
- Time For Change - Why should bronzeriders always get the power? What's wrong with a more divided leadership structure?
- Wait And See - It's clearly far too soon to decide one way or another.
- What's In It For Me? - Convince me why I should join your side. Go on.
