Opportunism rules. Picking a side now may lead to problems later on: what if your side loses? Where does it put you then?
So: watch and wait. See what happens. Figure out who the winning team will be, and only then make your position known. Of course, it's better if you can figure out ahead of time who is going to win, so it doesn't just look like you're being fickle.
Better pay attention.
