Description

A woman with iron grey eyes, and a proud demeanor, she seems to be around 40 turns or so, her hair more blonde than grey. She's built sturdily, with the kind of severity of expression that might shock small children into minding.

• Manages most of Esvay's affairs or at least plays damage control against her idiot stepson.

History

A native of Esvay Valley, Gretvyn grew up in one of the smaller cot-holds near the river's source. She's lived a fairly traditional life up until she married Cronal shortly after his wife's death. She was quite close with Edelyn before she married, and helped tend to her during the last stages of her illness. It's often been said she knew Cronal's wife better than he ever would.

Relationships

• Edelyn: Sisters :Perhaps we were never bound by blood, but you brought life wherever you went. I've done the best I could by your family.
• Cronal: Husband :You were a good man, but you tended to suffocate everything around you. In some ways you were responsible for Edelyn's death, and yet I know you loved her in your way.
• Cron: Idiot:You want more than your due in the world, and you are completely ignorant of the way things truly work. I fear the loss of Esvay when I'm gone.
• Greta & Gerta: daughters: "I am glad that you both could go to hall. You deserve a future of your own making.
• Giorgee: Son:I hope you take all the best qualites of your parents and have none of the bad ones. I worry about you the most.
• Edyis: stepdaughter: You are so much more like Edelyn than you will ever know, I hope you are happy, but I do worry about the choices you are making.
