The only fertile females and impressing only to women, golds are the largest dragons, ranging from approximately 38-42 feet in length. They generally rise according to the needs of the Weyr, mating with bronzes or browns. Clutches can be as small as 10-15 eggs during an Interval and as large as 40 during a Pass. Only goldriders may be Weyrwomen.
