On the morning of day 3 month 13, the weyrleaders left the Weyr to request an audience with Fort Hold's Lord and Lady.

Rumour has it that Lady Darcy sent her regrets to the weyrleaders as she was unable to attend. She has been rarely seen in Astivan's company recently, leading some to wonder if the issues around her miscarriage and Astivan's supposed son by another woman have put a wedge between husband and wife.

There is much speculation about how the scene played out between Astivan and the weyrleaders behind closed doors but there is no debate about one detail: N'muir has informed Astivan that the Weyr will send dragons to pick up the rest of the tithe in a month's time.

It is not known yet whether Astivan intends to cooperate or if this is the beginning of a greater rift between Hold and Weyr. More importantly, how will the Weyr's residents react to the news? Neither of the Weyr's leaders were available for comment, N'muir disappearing with at least one member of Hematite to parts unknown, while Hattie seemed far more strung out about the whole thing and promptly shut herself away in the records room.
