Business.

Business came in the call from Kimren, with one of his riders on his payroll alerting Jo's blue. She was annoyed with the interruption of her talk in the kitchen, but it wasn't a summons that she could ignore right now.

Sometimes she swears that one day she's not going to answer them. Reality is she knows that's a lie.

On the way to her dragon, she mentally pieces together the strips of intel she gathered for the month for the other ones she worked for. For the Greenfields gang. They already knew about the Weyrwoman, Iolene's death, thanks to her. She sent them about the death of her murderer, I'kris, and the current state of the Weyr. She mentioned about the two junior weyrwomen now running things -Brieli and Azaylia - and of how K'del was out and B'sil was in. She had sent them every bit of news that permeated the Reachian air - just like she was contracted to do.

Of course, information wasn't the only thing Greenfields asked of her, but since she wasn't the only criminal on a dragon in the Reaches, the other stuff she was asked to do ended up being few and far between. There was a reason why she hardly saw those of her former weyrling class - M'ron and Kaitlin being two of them - around these days.

Some things she didn't like doing, but that was the nature of business. She couldn't pick and choose her jobs.

By the time she Betweened towards the designated stretch of land far into the Reachian mountains, the stars in the sky were twinkling the very late hour. She could make out the green dragon and the male rider that had contacted her Tacuseth, and she had him land few paces away from them. Before she even cleared off the blue's back,

"It's late. Let's get this shit over with."

The unknotted greenrider must have been schooled previously about her, for all he did was chuckle to himself, slap his gloved hands together a few times and starts leading her towards the two packages wrapped in hides and lying side by side in the grass. Packages.

"It's all yours. I'm out," the greenrider's turning away, heading for his dragon. "I've got to take care of something else. Be quick about it. Goodnight." He was Between before Jo had reached the first package.

She grimaces at the job she must do, but she's gotten pretty good at dampening down her conscious by now.

Tacuseth's brassy voice of grit and stone touch her deep to her core like it always did. « Two trips? » he sends, onboard with whatever his Lady Blue wanted to do.

Jo grins at the words, knowing what he was really doing. Any distraction was good distraction, in Tacuseth's eyes.

Jo starts to drag over the first package and gets to work.
