Following instability with Fort's leadership and with Fort's junior goldrider, Dahlia, sick with the plague and unknown whether she would live to have her dragon rise to become Weyrwoman, Benden Weyr convenes a Council meeting and a majority vote ended up decreeing that the next junior queen to rise at any Weyr on Pern would become Fort's new Weyrwoman. On Day 23 of Month 4, that junior queen was Mirinda's Zaisavyth, who had arrived at the Weyr that morning after recognizing signs of proddiness. She was caught by N'rov's Vhaeryth, making them the new Weyrleaders at Fort Weyr.
