Elaruth's First Clutch
RL Date: 18 October, 2010
Who: Hattie, T'rev
Involves: Fort Weyr
Type: Update
What: Elaruth lays a clutch of fifteen eggs on Fort's sands.
Where: Hatching Cavern, Fort Weyr
When: Day 11, Month 13, Turn 23 (Interval 10)

It wasn't far short of midnight on day 11, month 13 that Elaruth disappeared from her ledge and took up residence on Fort's Sands instead, the Weyrwoman at her side and seemingly as calm as her queen about the whole thing. With it being the dead of night, there were few about to witness anything, save for Mecaith and the Weyrleaders, and, by first light of day 12, there were fifteen eggs settled close to their dam, though none marked out as a potential gold.

It might be that the first to go and peek at the eggs were a particularly boisterous group, but a couple of them were sent right back out from the hatching cavern by Hattie. Rumour has it that visitors should try and keep their voices down or be faced by a distressed queen, or, more accurately, an aggravated Weyrwoman.
