In Month 9 of Turn 27, Lady Edeline of Tillek's nine turn old son, Thedrin, goes missing. High Reaches is recruited to search for the missing boy, but eventually the search is called off with no real leads to follow. In Month 2 of Turn 28, a shipwreck found off the coast of the closest of the Western Islands is found to contain the body of a young child of similar age and ethnic background to the missing boy. Already unhappy with the weyr for failing to find her son, Edeline's displeasure - fuelled by grief - threatens to cause ongoing issues between Tillek and the Weyr.
