Minara
Description
Tall enough to be slightly gangling, but just substantial enough to avoid petite, Min still seems to be caught somewhere between teenaged girl and adult woman. She has curves, but they're subtle, and if she smiles, there is an understated beauty that shines through, but most of the time her expression is masked in a serious study, slate blue eyes sharp above a somewhat pointed nose and full lips. Her hair is a wavy mixture of auburn and burnt umber, usually tied back in a simple braid that reaches just past her bony shoulders. With a naturally medium-toned complexion, the sun has lent a little more colour to her skin, though not enough to indicate anything more than casual labour out-of-doors.
WYSK
Minara has only recently arrived in High Reaches after convincing one of the local riders to whisk her away from her life in one of Benden's minor holds. She has shown evidence of hold training both in her mannerisms and speech, though she has told very few so far which exact hold she is from, or who she was while she lived there.
History
Minara is the second daughter (of many) of one of Benden's minor holders. Unable (or maybe unwilling) to be married off, she convinced a visiting rider to take her far, far away. Which ended up being back to his home Weyr of High Reaches. She couldn't get much farther from Benden than that without changing continents, after all.
Since moving to the Weyr, Minara has spent most of her days signing up as a casual worker for whatever tasks might be available, which is most often anything from drudge work to clerical to mending clothing. While her accent places her most certainly from the Benden area, she hasn't been entirely forthright about where exactly in that area, saying only that she needed a drastic change of scenery. The truth, but not the whole truth.
