Charming and good looking, Vesik is known to be a wizard with the violin and came into his position early. Some say this was due to sheet personality, others say the man is incredibly adept at manipulating politics and political situations to both his advantage and to what he thinks is best for the world as a whole. Luckily, most people seem to believe he is altruistic. Like many who've held his position in the past, he has eyes and ears across Pern and sometimes seem omnipresent in how he knows what's going on before it's even made any ripples.
Over the years, he's had a number of special apprentices and journeymen who somehow deviate from their chosen speciality before returning.
