He's a beastly sort, this dark hulk of a bronze, all short, spindly limbs and big, knobby joints - and deep-set, mischievous eyes. That deep hide's the granular, gritty shade of a brew long-steeped, though brassier metal glints at the tips of talons and tail and the very end of his nose; his wings are hazier, smoky and swirled, limned here and there with the time-muted copper and green and gold of distant lands. The bluntness of his head contrasts the exaggerated length of his neck, neckridges carrying the same barbed spikes as his curving, upturned tail.

Art Nouveau Egg
Wisps of soft pastel twist around this egg, ethereal. What patterns manage to break up the pink monotony shift between floral and geometric. Delicate in only its hue, a powder blue crescent arcs over the ovoid's peak, spots of gray following the arch ever so carefully. Organic perfection wrapped up in a layers of silk, the playful nature of this egg is revealed by the golden threads that deny any illusions of symmetry.
Another delicate quiver overtakes the Art Nouveau egg, fine cracks finally beginning to demolish its pastel, geometric perfection - until, all at once, that elegance turns equally chaotic but far more violent. Talons pierce what integrity remains as its inhabitant thrashes against his prison, shredding the shell until it shatters at his feet; he celebrates his hard-fought freedom with a gritty roar, the ripped egg sac still smeared across his chest and soggy, stretching wings.

Temperament
Cezveth is the bronze you were wishing for, G'var; clever and determined, an independent trickster who is always in motion, always setting things in motion by the sheer force of his big, bronze personality.
Even as a weyrling, Cezveth will be a dragon of free will. He won't understand those clutchmates of his who depend solely upon their riders for direction and explanation just as much as they do for meat and oiling, nor those who waste time bargaining when they can act (even if the effects are felt indirectly). He'll have you taking care of his needs too, of course, but he'll also begin finding other means to the same ends. Are you in the baths when he's itchy? Maybe he can convince Zvaraseth that he knows a stretch that will help ease the brown's back... while being so conveniently close to the oil jars that one will get knocked over. Sure, Cezveth will have to face the consequences of his actions (as will you; the joys of riderhood!), but the noise and disapproval will be joined by the satisfaction of silky-smooth hide.
All actions have consequences, of course, but it shouldn't take you long to notice that the consequences to Cezveth's actions seem to be a bit farther-reaching than those of some other dragons. A lot of it comes down to a simple truth about your bronze: just like this sire, he simply cannot abide stillness. Some part of him will nearly always be moving, even in his sleep, whether it's a shimmy of the wing or a ticking of a talon (to the point that really, it's when he's staying still that someone may most need to worry). Even that's not enough; things need to be happening around him, too - happening because of him, through his direct involvement... or (which can gratify him just as much) through his attempting to set others in motion, domino-style. He's not a manipulative dragon in the micromanaging and scheming sense (and he genuinely enjoys socializing with others). It's just that he tends to interact on deeper levels than conversation or touch alone. So often, he's also encouraging, suggesting, teasing, tricking. While he will frequently have an end game, Cezveth is more clever than controlling: an innate judge of character with a sixth sense for navigating chaos, if one that's better at tactics than strategy (which is also to say, those who figure out the proper invocations can exploit him).
Of course, even innate abilities need to be honed, and Cezveth certainly won't be hatched a master. Weyrlinghood will be a period of experimentation, and those experiments will fail at least as often as they succeed; he'll regularly find himself coming up on the wrong side of Olveraeth and the other weyrlingmasters, especially as he's often simply not very good at following directions. Those parts of wing life he deems 'boring' may also prove problematic down the road, though of course they will also offer an opportunity for wider experimentation.
Cezveth is neither demon nor angel, though he is both unabashedly and unrepentantly bronze, with all that that implies. Do underlings want to suck up to him? That's just fine. Will it do them any good? Well, they can think so... The consequences he brings about won't be all good or all bad, and indeed sometimes won't be morally definable at all, whether measured by your old Craft's or the Weyr's or even your own. While he will instinctively take some cues from you, his actions - which is to say, his interactions - might not be as consistent as you would like; even when he grants wishes, they may not turn out the way the recipient intended. Cezveth works off of inner measurements: he can see when a situation is unbalanced, and will often take action when it starts to go lopsided. The problem, of course, is that his mischievous nature will have him shoving it to the side it was leaning just as often as he'll try to even it out. If you enjoy unpredictability, and if you can weather the consequences, this is likely to be fun for you; if not... not so much.
In general, Cezveth is likely to treat others as he's been treated by them. This doesn't mean tit for tat as much as with Zmeyth or Zvaraseth; the results of Cezveth's Golden Rule may have quirky, unpredictable alterations to the point of even seeming random at times, particularly when there are factors at work beyond the obvious (such as whether Cezveth's most recently had a satisfying meal or a case of thicktail). So if Savroveth tries to engage him in a verbal joust that the brown might well win, it might not be so surprising when Cezveth somehow manages to drop just the right hint to get a couple of their smaller siblings to come crashing over... the better to let the conversation be interrupted by the need to dodge the arrivals, especially in the early days when Cezveth's physical prowess still exceeds his brother's.
Such indirect chaos may well remain even when he grows older and starts to chase greens and golds. When driven by lust, Cezveth may be at his most devious. Not only will he act on his own behalf, he'll also attempt to distract one competitor with another, and try to use other chasers to force the female into his reach; in flights, winning will suddenly matter, more than just another game. When he loses, you'll feel his red-hot frustration at the lack of release, while when he wins, he'll be at his most smug (drawing a good deal of it from you?), and may even make grandiose promises to his mate. The celebration will last at least half a day, about three days at most. With greens, he's likely to retain a positive affiliation though still forget the details; with golds, instinct will have him providing until the clutch is hatched, but in his more usual, chaotic-neutral manner.
Throughout your lives together, expect that your influence will come through the most not in how he interacts with the outside world, but how he sees himself in it. Your pride in his bronze hide, the potential and prestige you see in it, will fuel all he does, adding to his undeniable energy until it's irrepressible. And although he will reflect you in many ways, you can also expect that that reflection will be so bright as to influence you in return. Have a glimmer of an idea for how to make drills better? That glimmer just became a shining, sideways plan. Getting into an argument? Suddenly you're inspired, finding what feels in the moment like eloquence and expressiveness even if it turns out to be much more of a bombastic speech... while your dragon watches, bronze and shining and as pleased with himself as with you. Djinn are said to inspire poets; it's just that your djinn has a sense of humor.
You wished for a bronze, G'var, and now you have one: a bronze who will never stop, a bronze who will be as buoyed by your love of him and pride in him as by your frustration with him, a bronze whose actions seem orderly only through his uncanny ability to read and capitalize on chaos. Be careful what you wish for.
Public Impression Message
Awkward limbs and heavy wings aren't enough to stop the Dirty Brew Bronze now that he's out. There's little care given for sibling or candidate alike as he tears through the sands, the need to go-go-go spurred on by the crimson hunger held in his gaze. It may surprise many when he suddenly stops, heavy head swinging to observe those humans clothed in white still remaining. His twitchy stillness explodes into full-blown motion once again, then, toward the man who looks sturdy enough for his semi-planned impact.
Private Impression Message
Sudden, harsh heat blazes amid the already torrid sands, exotic spice swirling bitterly about your mind, then sweetly settling. The - his - darkly whimsical, pride-filled bass is inescapable: « You wished for me, G'var. » And now he is here, a pair of red eyes and a ravenous hunger that cuts through the frustration of his recent imprisonment. « Your Cezveth needs food, » brings with it a spike of energy, with the promise of much more in its wake. « And then our wishes can come true. »
Mindvoice
His is a gritty bass voice that might seem incongruous when he's a hatchling, a voice to be savored in social situations; that dark intensity can be a pleasure to converse with, lent an enticing warmth by spices and a hint of pleasantly wicked smoke. When emotions run high, good or bad, there's a smoldering, smothering heat to Cezveth's thoughts that's not unlike his dam's; while anger can set his rich tones scalding, closeness can bring the freshness of a rare and precious oasis, while camaraderie has the brilliant colors of a market made the more vibrant for its usually subtler surroundings.
Itchyspots
Those big, knobby joints of his? That's where the worst of the itch will settle, where his hide is always stretched tightly over bone, for which you can thank both sire and dam. Cezveth's oilings are likely to bring about the closest communion between dragon and rider, even more intimate than shared excitement or ebullience or even mischief; indeed, after a good oiling, you two may find some sort of resolution to any problems that either of you have been mulling over - even if, once you've regained some distance, those solutions might seem a bit off-kilter...
Inspiration
Cezveth is primarily inspired by djinn, particularly the more chaotic-neutral djinn of myth - the better to exemplify, 'Be careful what you wish for.' We gave him extra energy by adding some potent Turkish coffee to the mix, which admittedly can mean that sometimes he feels 'too bronze to handle,' but G'var will survive... or not! His name comes from 'cezve,' a Turkish coffee pot, while his description is based on a coffee-tinged scorpion, a form favoured by djinn everywhere... plus just a little smoke and magic.
Egg Inspiration: I (Azaylia) love Alphonse Mucha and it was hard choosing just one picture to use as an inspiration. He's known for his female figures, crescent shapes, and being very precise in his work. See Image.
