Did not have the strongest Blood claim (one of Giarnon's nephews), but rumor says with it being reasonably strong and his family's political backing, he emerged as the 'favorite' for Ruatha's heir and was confirmed as Lord Ruatha in M9 T39.%r%r* Charismatic but a little on the smarmy side, Baliol's relative youth and unmarried state has the Blooded mothers astir to see his eye caught by their eligible daughter. He's a rather good face for the Hold, with all the manners and graces that he needs to have for official business, even if he tend to push the line of what's appropriate, sometimes without agenda.%r%r* Common opinion is that Baliol has time to learn whatever's lacking but that he has a solid team of advisors and the consensus is that the Hold will recover and flourish under his guiding (and guided) hand.
