Description

Sunlit highlights accent a head of caramel hair on this young man, a testament to time outdoors. Kept just a bit overgrown, the mass has been tied back at the nape of his neck. Slightly darker brows rest low over a set of eyes, just to the greenish side of hazel. His nose is straight and slender, angling down just above faintly bowed lips. Stubble lines his jaw and chin, just enough to darken the skin and provide a rough edge. Lean muscle fills out his five feet and ten inch frame, with skin darkening into a slight tan. He wears a fleece-lined jacket for warmth, with a green long sleeved tunic peeking out beneath it. His pants are made of durable hide, patched thicker along the inner thighs for riding. A belt clasps around his waist, tied into a knot with one end hanging just a bit longer than the other. His boots are black and worn from use, but sturdy.

History

Norrick was born at the relatively small Far Reach Holding, to Carrin and Nadik. Just one among a few other brothers and sisters, he grew up among the other children of the hold. He was taught from an early age about responsibility, and was never a stranger to hard work. Everyone had to pitch in and do their part.

He grew up helping tend to the animals mostly. He carried feed and helped with the smaller animals mostly as a child, but eventually grew into helping with the larger stock. He enjoyed the work, and always did so diligently. But even he became restless over time.

By the time he was in his later teens he had seen others his own age leave the hold to start new lives. Eventually, he too gave in to the urge to go, seeking out a familiar face in N'ky who had left the hold a few turns prior for High Reaches Weyr.
