WYSK
- Taiga Wingleader since K'vash retired at the end of the Comet Pass.
- Weyrmated to Greenrider Ketzia of Frostbite.
- Was not initially happy with K'del's Weyrleadership. By the time the bronzerider stepped down, however, they had a solid working relationship, and that has improved further since K'del joined Taiga. After all, he promoted K'del, didn't he?
- K'del is no longer his wingsecond, but they seem to still be good friends.
- As of month four, turn thirty-six, F'manis is a grandfather via his daughter, Zimani, who produced a son on the 13th day.
History
Fimanis is High Reachian born and bred, and Impressed blue Isplonath at thirteen, graduating just in time for the Pass to end. He was promoted to Wingsecond of Taiga during the early days of the Comet Pass, and then took over as Wingleader when K'vash retired in the aftermath. He's been Wingleader ever since: solid, semi-traditional, with a good reputation for being fair and loyal.
He weyrmated his clutchmate, greenrider Ketzia, soon after they graduated, though he never did give up the weyr he'd been assigned. He and Ketzia have two children: K'tzan (Ketzanis), who now rides blue for Igen Weyr, and Zimani, a Healer posted to Healer Hall. It's disappointing to F'manis that both of his children live so far away - sure, nowhere is really that far away when you've a dragon to carry you, but it's just... not the same, somehow. He and Ketzia are both hoping that their children will produce some grandchildren sooner or later, preferably children who can be fostered by their doting grandparents.
Of course, F'manis remains busy with his wing, and seems likely to for the foreseeable future: he's politically interested, if from a wing-rather-than-Weyr perspective. He has no interest in climbing any further up the hierarchy... but he's keenly conscious of what impacts his wing, and this has occasionally made him outspoken, especially during Taikrin's tenure. No doubt that inclination wasn't been aided by his promotion of K'del, former Weyrleader, to be his Wingsecond; then again, now that the Weyrleader is no longer his Wingsecond, he's not exactly closed his mouth.
He is, nonetheless, a plain-spoken man, with simple tastes and an occasionally narrow view of the world beyond the borders of his care.
