Description
Laine sports a short-cropped, thick and glossy head of dark hair that seemingly defies gravity, standing stark and upswept, unkempt. Her small, pert nose (spattered with freckles) sits between high cheekbones. Slate grey eyes, slightly upturned, are bright under thick, dark eyebrows and her mouth is small with even, white teeth.
A trim, sturdy young woman, with a small bust and wide hips, Laine nearly reaches five and a half feet, and looks to be in her late teens. Her shoulders and arms are athletic and lean; her hands are strong, though her nails are chewed ragged. Her clothing is unremarkable, although her soft brown leather jacket looks well-loved (and well-worn). A double-corded knot on her shoulder reports her as an apprentice weyrtanner.
History
- began working unofficially with the tanners at ten
- taken on as a tanner at twelve
