Ysavaeth rose for her maiden flight in the eighth month of Turn 28, when she was a little over two turns old; Cadejoth was her deliberate choice of mate, and his catch did not enthuse then senior queen Iovniath or her rider. This set into action a series of events that would eventually result in the deposition - and banishment - of Tiriana and her queen.
The pairing was nonetheless successful, with a respectable - if not outstandingly large - clutch of thirteen, and one egg with an almost golden sheen. When the eggs hatched, High Reaches added one gold, two bronze, two brown, three blue and five green dragons to their roster.
Shortly before the clutch hatched, a deal was made between Monaco and High Reaches that would give K'del support in his attempt to have Tiriana deposed. The end result was that High Reaches sent eight hand-picked Candidates to the southern weyr to stand for their queen egg. The resulting Impression of Brieli to Iesaryth had the new pair returned to High Reaches to train alongside Ysavaeth and Cadejoth's clutch.
