• He isn't overly talkative, and seems to spend a lot of time with Itsy.
• Rescued on day 13, month 1 of turn 36 from a shipwreck during the storm in which Aishani died.
• His ship, the Pirate Queen, was destroyed in the storm, along with its Captain.
• From the little he and Itsy have shared they seem to intend to remain at the Weyr until their new ship is built.

History

He doesn't think about his life before all this. He avoids it.

But sometimes it stalks him in his dreams; the faces of strangers, forcing him to do things he doesn't want to do. His clothes are stiff and uncomfortable, and strangers press and push him this way and that. They never smile.

He wakes in a sweat, and feels relief when he scents the smell of the sea and the roll of the waves underneath him. He thinks of Itsy, and how she woke him from his dream and his life on the streets; how she always does, like a fresh of breath air.

The pirates of the ship she took him to didn't trust him for a long time, and he scrubbed a lot of decks. In time, they trusted him to climb the rigging, as fast and agile as he was. Later, they accepted him and Itsy as one of them, as their equals. He saw them as their family.

Things went wrong when they attacked that trader ship near High Reaches Hold's port. It was the wrong call, and it got them caught. Most of them, anyway. He and Itsy got themselves rescued and masqueraded as part of the trade ship until they were able to slip away.

He doesn't trust Devaki, and doesn't understand why Itsy does. He watches the Lord closely when they are together. Now that they have their own ship, and they are far from the Lord, he is happier. It's Itsy's ship, and he will always protect her, always be there to save her -- just as she once saved him.
