Katriona does not like to discuss her background in depth, but it was clear from the first she came from a poor family; when she arrived at Fort, she was too skinny, as if she rarely got quite enough to eat.
She was one of those who was meant to stand at Eliyaveith's clutch-that-wasn't, and ended up working in the laundry.
She stood again at Elaruth's clutch, Impressing to an initially fairly sickly green by the name of Yueth.
She looks younger than her age, which may be a factor of her slight form and ready smile.
