After turns of uncertainty, even (in retrospect) dating back as far as Tiriana's ousting, Azaylia's Hraedhyth finally rose over High Reaches in a short but energetic flight that had her ultimately caught by Z'ian's Tsanth, making Boreal's Wingleader the new Weyrleader. Although many were glad to have stable leadership at last, there were others who looked askance at the pairing: hadn't Boreal already been making a name for itself with some decisions that some of the Weyr considered dubious? Will Azaylia be strong enough to really lead in this formal, official capacity?

After Hraedhyth laid her twelve eggs, formal notice was given that no Bloods would be Searched for this clutch - and, indeed, that the Weyr would not formally ride Search. Still, even with only in-Weyr candidates, those twelve eggs ultimately hatched and Impressed without incident.
