Just what does go on in your weyr, when the weyrlingmasters aren't there to look over your shoulder?
Does your own weyr live up to what you thought it would be? How are you adjusting to living on your own, likely for the first time in your life?
Write a vignette to show how you've changed over the months.
Have a run-in with one of the candidates who didn't impress with you.
Write a vignette regarding one of the off-camera lectures listed below.

Flaming is one of the more dangerous aspects of weyrlinghood-there are lots of stories and rumors about accidents, both apocryphal and true. Discuss the accidents, your fears, or maybe just interview a victim-or a perpetrator. There's certainly a few of them around!
With freedom increasing, you may just have time to pick up some old hobbies that fell by the wayside during your early days of weyrlinghood.
If you're falling behind in lectures or can't understand them, maybe it's time to ask for help from your wingmates. Alternatively, if you're a bright individual and catch on quickly, take some time out to give one of your wingmates a hand, after all, a wing is only as strong as its weakest component.
It might even be time to drop out of the leadership program, or to move into the barracks so the distractions of your own weyr don't hinder your progress. Expect the weyrlingmasters to be watching closely for who is and who isn't handling things well.

For the mentor: Write a vignette of your character's thoughts about your weyrling.
Take your mentee to visit the coverage areas of the Reaches.
Give your weyrling tips on firestone and flaming.
