- Month 9+
The IC
Successes and Failures
Those who have made it this far find temporary relief as the entirety of the ninth month, a respite is granted. There are no extra classes, no extra hides waiting on cots. For a little while, all that's required is focusing on rider training for preparations for first manned flights and between.
Here and there, signs of training might start coming out in obvious and more subtle ways, and facets of why particular people were chosen might start displaying itself. A quiet boy blossoming into someone who finds it easy to connect with her fellow weyrlings on a more empathic level. A brash woman learning how to assert herself in a more diplomatic fashion. Whatever the case may be, it's definite some people are becoming far more comfortable in their role. Or, merely pretend better.
OOC Note: Logs are a necessity to be able to ICly track weyrling progress. We would appreciate particular scenes where your weyrling is having difficulties making the workload or exceling to be shared by posting logs to the weyrling livejournal, and tagging them as 'leadership'. If you wish to be one of those who are asked to refocus solely on weyrling training at any point, please feel free to send us a +mail so we know.
Also, if you would like to get in trouble for missing out on too many classes, please inform the weyrlingmasters or the administrative team so we might be able to play out, or plan some sort of in character consequence for those actions.

Roleplay & Vignette Ideas
- Suddenly, there's all this free time: how does it feel not to be busy, to have time to think, relax, enjoy?
- A wing is only as strong as its weakest members: a vignette on how your character views as strengths of various members of the weyrling wing (weyrlingmasters, NPCs, etc...)
- If you're struggling with the workload, find someone to offload on -- whether it's a fellow trainee, or another weyrling you're close to. Perhaps even ford those formidible steps leading to the Weyrleaders' ledges to ask for advice.
Goldriders
Even you garner a free month, the respite well-deserved and while there are duties to tend to, duties you may have gotten used to over the last three months, there's firm reassurances that your help, while appreciated, is not needed. In fact, none of the lower caverns women or headwoman will indulge any desire to 'help' and asking the weyrwomen would certainly be futile, right? But when the month vacation ends, the workload is back in full force with the addition of one more duty that'll have you hoping for another vacation sometime soon. Starting in the eleventh month, you will begin planning the breakfast meal with the lower caverns and kitchen staff, from learning what we have in stores and how to best utilize them in a breakfast meal's preparation. But the planning doesn't stop there. There is the expectation that you will be awake early enough in the day to oversee the tasks of breakfast preparation and that you will be on call for those who work overnight in meal preparations should they require you.
