WYSK
Some may know more of these items than others, but none are difficult to find out if someone's looking:
Transferred from Igen Weyr to Fort Weyr at the beginning of month 8, turn 38
Served as AWLM in Igen Weyr with a particular bent toward 'trouble' cases
Impressed brown Mograith in turn 22
Former Harper apprentice
Has a reputation for eccentricities, word play and can easily be described as either charming or obnoxious depending on one's patience
Description
Thirty-something turns have built Kh'tyr's solid 5'9" frame with lean muscle and a charming ruggedness to his overall look. The general haphazardness of his dress is echoed in the floppy shock of dark brown hair, licked with natural highlights toward the tips and smattered lightly with a touch of grey. Dark brown eyes are both soulful and shrewd betraying any act of ignorance he might put on for all that wide brow and long planes of face, nose and slightly too large ears hint at the ability to play the part well enough. In contrast to the wrinkles of his clothes and the way things never seem to be worn quite straight, the man's roguish mustache and goatee are carefully coiffed.

Angles, sharp but far too fluid to be spikes, pair with bone-deep grace to soften his size; he's a dragon distinguished by his supernally pale hue and yet distinctly brown. Lightning-marks lick from the core of his spine across wingsails and back, sparking toward and down his long broad tail. Movement gives life to the forked etchings fixed in flesh, flickering like dancing flame with every limber shift. A wicked intelligence lives in the dragon's glowing eyes, and in the upturned line of his maw with its many sharp and pointy teeth. The harmlessness his innate laziness implies is belied by a subtle cagey, calculated quality-- and the deadly curl of claw.
Way of the Wall Egg
Were the Sands more brown than gold, this egg might blend right into the background, being dominated by a deep, drab, doughy brown. Upon closer examination, it seems that the uniform shade is only that as a base; over top the brown there's a fine mesh-texture of grey with the semblance of interlocking chain-links as though to offer the average sized egg some measure of protection from those things not so easily fooled.
Public Impression Message
Terrifyingly aggressive, Cagey in Captivity Brown Hatchling drives across the sands from where he broke shell. At first, it seems his goal is blood, not bond. Anger swirls unbound and terrible in his eyes, the red a stark contrast to his pale hide. His claws are raised to strike even as Khettyr falls to his knees, clutching his head, a cry of pain preceding any physical touch. In the next moment, the teen is weeping, but not tears of joy. It's short lived and silent, one eye stubbornly winking open after the other to squint up at Mograith whose would-be strike dies as rainbow steals into the red, leaving his eyes a calm whirling green in the wake of finding Kh'tyr. Kh'tyr's legs might shake as he rises, but rise he does and the pair wastes no time in following the assistant off the Sands to where food awaits.
Private Impression Message
The warmth of the sands dulls first; instead of scorching, the heat is merely luxuriously pleasant. It's good that this shift occurs first or you mightn't be able to truly appreciate the lancing pain of the scorching heat that tattoos a smattering of scars into your mind, claiming, and yet-- the yowl is protest, is anger, is frustration and finally resignation. It might come as a blow that he doesn't want you. He doesn't want anyone. And yet, in the next moment as the magnificence that was white fire and electricity fades into something soft, supple, and furry, it might be hard to remember the moments that brought you to your knees. Now, Mograith is assessing with a kittenish mewl, « Well, someone has to look out for you, at least until you're a real rider. » And now, with no spoken apology for his initial rejection, he accepts the captivity of the bond you now share as lifemates. Duty binds him, love keeps him, Mograith is yours, Kh'tyr. (Lucky you!)
Mindvoice
At the core of Mograith's mind touch is the bushy, soft fur of a white feline. His voice comes with twists of mew, mewl, meow, purr and yowl as appropriate. Chiming into his mental landscape come a variety of bells with distinct voices, some melodious, some raucous, all with meaning and power. Warm golden marks hover in the vastness of space, waiting to be plucked out and incorporated into creating illusion or other sensation that he wishes to incorporate into his communications. The shadows of himself that come in his mind are sometimes a dragon, a cat, a man, and sometimes something stranger and scarier. In those moments of freedom, and even some when he still sees himself as bound by all that makes dragons dragons, there is the faint corruptive tang of something that is at odds with the rest of him, a clashing, corrosive taint that seeks to consume all that is warm and light and good in him. It is with this taint that scorching white fire and crackling electricity come, the heat and

Khettyr is the son of Kharson and Ettayra, a Master Smith and his cheesemaker wife. Though he dabbled in his father's craft as a young man, when it came time to apprentice, Khettyr chose the intellectual pursuits of HarperCraft as his personal challenge.
While he studied, his father gradually became more senile and less productive. Around the time Khettyr turned fifteen, despite his own success in HarperCraft, he turned away from the craft and accepted an offer to Stand at Igen Weyr, denouncing his craft rather fabulously to his journeyman on his way out the door to the dragon. That his journeyman knew Khettyr had been having a difficult time in recent days because his father was being retired early from SmithCraft at the time, nothing was said to the Searching rider, so the boy went, Stood and Impressed Cagey is the Captive Brown Mograith at the age of sixteen. He was a troubled student that earned extra time in weyrlinghood to learn to play the game as it unfolds in a Weyr. At least one AWLM took a personal interest in him and helped him get out of purgatory-- er, weyrlinghood.
He did his time in regular wings, learning styles, clashing with some and being moved to others. Once he hit his stride he set his sights on becoming part of the weyrlingmaster's team, with a keen interest in helping train the youth of tomorrow. His methods aren't always traditional but they often yield the desired results. He specializes in working with those more troubled, finding them more personally interesting and more fruitful than those happy to fall in line.
His connection to Lilah isn't clear, but what is clear is that his transfer agreement has Lilah's signature on them and despite her disappearance, he seems determined to collect the assistant weyrlingmaster knot that was promised him. Having done that, he serves now as part of Ebeny's team, eccentric as ever, though perhaps a little more mild mannered than his reputation might lead one to imagine.
