Description

There is a sense of energy and purpose in the way this young woman moves. Her small athletic frame is decidedly feminine with the curves that such implies. Her eyes are dark in color and almond in shape, lending a touch of inquisitiveness to her expressions. High cheekbones paired with a faintly aquiline nose add character to the long shape of her face. While her warm complexion, dark sun-streaked curls, and the softer shape of her mouth provide balance against the angles.

History

Born in a minor Nabolese holding in Esvay Valley, to Holder Cronall and his wife Edelyn, Edyis is the youngest of their six children. Though her mother died when she was young, Edyis never lacked for a mother figure in her life. Her father remarried longtime family friend Gretvyn, who took over Edelyn's role in Edyis's life. His older children regarded Gretvyn quite differently, most of who were away at hall or married. Edyis probably would have lived a very normal, perhaps boring life had it not been for the invasion of Rone's forces sweeping across Nabol.

Esvay caught fire during one of the raids; Cronall severely injured while trying to save what they could from the barns, dying weeks later from the resultant wounds. With Cronall gone, and Esvay's future uncertain Edyis accepted search at the behest of her stepmother and stood on Day 21, Month 2, Turn 33 For gold Iesaryth's clutch with bronze Vhaeryth. After the matter of Nabol's succession was resolved Cron, the eldest of Cronall's sons took over management of Esvay and requested Edyis's return.

Edyis refused, remaining at high reaches ever since, except for a few months spent in Monaco, following Savannah, only to return to the weyr again in turn 35. What people don't know about her stay in Monaco is that she worked as an informant on the behest R'hin, returning after reassignment to Tillek. Later standing for gold Iesaryth's clutch with bronze Reisoth and failing a second time to impress. She's remained at the weyr since then, working in the records room and then taking up work in the Riders' Lounge in early turn 36.

• Gretvyn Stepmother: You always treated me as your daughter; I still can never thank you enough for that. Nor for giving me the push I needed to leave Esvay behind.
• Jadzia Compatriot: I do not think we can be friends, but I will happily settle for not being enemies. You are Savannah now, so that means you are family. I just will not be the one tell you that.
• Jo Fun: You are going to be nothing but trouble. I just hope that it is a good kind.
• K'del Weyrleader: I can't really imagine anyone else doing your job. At least you know how to have fun when prodded.
• Leova Teacher: I really love your lessons, and look forward to them.
• Rh'mis Challenge: You are good at what you do, and totally wasted on Iceberg. Now if you would just come out of that shell a tiny bit...small steps.
• R'hin Mentor: Life is never boring around you, and thanks to you and Savannah I feel like I have a place where I belong. Thanks, I will try not to disappoint.
• Telavi Uncertainty: I never used to think you were a judgmental person. Then again, maybe I am the one whose wrong. Somewhere there's a middle ground.
• V'ros Bleh: I find you typically exhausting, but you have taught me a thing or two about people.
