OOC
Nakasha was a PC for a few months back in 2009, created to apply stand-only to Fort's Search. She went off-camera to have her baby, and although the intention was to bring her back once RL allowed, it never worked out that way. Thus, she ended up as an NPC dragonrider at Benden, getting her more-or-less happy ending (even if it still makes K'del pretty miserable).
Her logs have not been moved onto the wiki since none of them ever take place at HRW (in fact, Nakasha has never been to High Reaches, even after turns as a dragonrider), but this page was created since she does feature in some of K'del's stuff, as does her weyrmate.
Description
'Beautiful' is not a term often used to describe Nakasha, but there's nonetheless something appealing about her, primarily thanks to her radiant smile. The creamy, smooth-skinned oval of her face is surrounded by a cascading mess of warm blonde curls that have been cut somewhat unevenly at just above shoulder-length. Her dark blue eyes are too small for the shape of her face, and appear smaller still in comparison to the length and size of her nose and the plumpness of her cheeks. In body, she's more solid than slender, with long legs that make her taller than average; she's probably in her mid-to-late twenties.
WYSK
- Nakasha is the youngest of nine children born to a vineholder and his wife from the Tillek region. The best known of her siblings is Kasadel, now K'del, former Weyrleader of High Reaches, though many of the brood have departed home for various occupations.
- In mid turn 20, she was sent to Tillek to spend some time with her newly married brother Perris, and his wife, Esnara. A couple of months later, the visit was cut short when she was searched by D'kai and Mikhuth of Fort Weyr, for Elaruth and Mikhuth's clutch.
- Alas, Kash did not get the chance to Stand: she discovered she was pregnant. After delivering her son, Kasenak, she was bundled home, where she suffered from intense post-natal depression. A turn later, she ran away; most of her family has not seen her since, and do not know where she is.
- Soon after her disappearance, Kash was searched by Benden Weyr, where she Stood under the name of Kashana. Her Impression to blue Kastaveth in Month 8 of Turn 22 sealed the deal: she was never going home.
- After a rough weyrlinghood, Kash came out of her shell, most especially after falling for her clutchmate, greenriding Eire. The weyrmates have a daughter together: Erika.
History
Most of it is in the WYSK. What isn't:
- Soon after her arrival at Tillek, Nakasha entered in a relationship with Kezend, a grandson of Boll's Blood then fostered to the western Hold. It lasted for several months, semi-serious, until he was sent home to his family at the end of Turn 20. That happened only days before her Search, and likely played a part in her reasons for accepting.
- Her son is Kezend's, but very few people know this, including T'rev himself. Kash refused to let it be made public, for fear that it would put Kez - whom she loved - in an awkward position.
- Despite loving Kez, Kash was in no way ready to be a parent, and freaked out at the whole concept of having a son. She hasn't seen him since he was a Turn old, and has no intentions of seeking him out. Or anyone else in her family, for that matter.
- Eire was the one to draw her out from Kastaveth's overwhelming hold on her - early on, she was completely overwhelmed, and lost a lot of her sense of self. Eire is also the only person at Benden who knows who Kash actually is... and who her brother is.
- Their daughter, Erika, is Eire's biological child, and Kash's niece. Eire's Tansayth was caught by K'del's Cadejoth before he had any idea who she was. When she realised she was pregnant, Eire elected to keep the baby - who would, after all, actually be related to her weyrmate. Kash had a lot of trouble with this idea, and remains uncomfortable with it. The secret was kept from K'del until early turn 32.
Relationships
- Eire is her weyrmate - her second love. They're a little codependent; Kash still carries heavy emotional scars from her earlier experiences.
- K'del was her best friend as a child, and she absolutely doted on him. She misses him, but she can't bring herself to talk to him.
- Kastaveth is everything.
