Br'dos wears his jet-black hair as long as he can get away with, mostly because he seems to think it makes him look striking, particularly against naturally pale skin, and his pale brown eyes. Quianveth is a rich, jungle green in shade, and is smaller than most.
Brandos and Larinel grew up together; their mothers were best friends, their fathers vaguely tolerant of each other. They had playdates together well before 'play' was actually a word that could be used to describe either of them. That didn't mean they didn't fight: indeed, the pair barely got along in childhood, and in their early teens. Once out of harper lessons, Brandos started working in the storerooms, and (mostly) ignored Larinel, though he was hardly blind to the fact that she was not unattractive... in some ways, he might even have been willing to bury the hatchet, if she hadn't been so stubborn. That didn't mean he wasn't a little wary when both of them were Searched for Iovniath's second clutch.
He didn't see much of Larinel during their candidacy, and didn't go out of his way to avoid the distance she put between them at the hatching. But their greens hatched at much the same time, and his Quianveth and her Shavaeth have taken to each other like ducks to water: sparks are likely to result.
