R'co

Description

Perfectly preened, whether it's artfully ruffled or slicked into style, R'co's ashy blonde hair is kept in a neat crop that, at its longest, just brushes his often-stubbled jaw. It falls often in the way of his big, light blue eyes, having to be tucked behind his ear. The finely-chiselled features of his face leave him looking slightly angular, though the formerly refined slope of his narrow nose has been marred by a small bump that pays tribute to a break or two in the past. Other imperfections are a thin scar on his temple, running from his hairline towards his cheek, while a second marks his chin. The plump curve of his lips, so often found pouted, is coloured a rosebud pink, the perfect complement to his sunkissed, naturally pale complexion; the tan he sports makes the freckles on his cheeks stand out a little more. In terms of his figure, R'co is slender, willowy, standing a very leggy 5'7. He may be a delicate slip of a man by appearances, but his fine-honed limbs and dainty mannerisms are deceptive of the musculature they truly home, cultured by his craft and the rigours of being a rider.

Dressed for being off-duty, R'co wears a clean-cut outfit that was clearly tailored specifically for him, as it fits perfectly. Over his lightweight white shirt he wears a loose waistcoat, the dark grey fabric embroidered around the lower edges with various shades of purple in whirling, abstract patterns. He wears figure-hugging riding leathers of a practical shade of black, with knee-length lace-up boots. R'co wears a woven bracelet around his wrist.

History

The Early Years

Once upon a time, Rocco was born to a High Reaches greenrider, Arocca, and a man who she's never cared to put a name to. He grew up in the lower caverns as many weyrbrats do, under the supervision of the nannies; it was all rather uneventful. Rocco spent a decent amount of time with his bluerider grandmother, Ocara, who had taken up her old beautician's craft following an injury that grounded her Trusyth. From her, he learnt practical basics such as hairdressing and barbering, but his interest fell, in particular, in the ways that she mixed herbs and other natural ingredients to create skin-soothing ointments, creams and so on. This interest led him to become a student in the Healer Craft (funded by a combination of marks from his grandmother, and, over the turns, those he was able to make for himself), where he specialised in herbalism and therapeutic massage.

Impression

Despite having grown up in a Weyr, it wasn't until he was 19 that Rocco was Searched, while scouting for ingredients in Ista. He'd got seven solid turns of Healer work behind him by that point and was keen to try something new - the fact that he was involved with a long-term relationship with greenrider played a big part in him accepting the offer to Stand. It turned out that he made the right choice, as brown Deveriteauxth stumbled up to him and claimed R'co for his own.

Given the interval, he focused his efforts post-weyrling graduation on his craft, supplementing his wing duties with extra work on the side. His relationship was starting to suffer as a result of not only his divided attentions, but of a change in desires; R'co wanted a family, which his boyfriend clearly couldn't give him - and he was inflexible in 'outsourcing' the matter. Having a lucrative business provided just enough distraction from those sorts of thoughts, as R'co was busy developing, making and selling his lotions, potions and massage services to the list of Pern-wide clients he'd managed to establish over the turns.

The End and the Beginning

It was shortly after his 25th turnday (late in month 10, turn 30) that things came to a head. A huge fight had his weyrmate moving out, just as news of the leadership troubles at High Reaches began to filter through to Ista Weyr. While he had never been the most ambitious of individuals, R'co couldn't help but be enticed by the prospects that his home Weyr could offer him; Deveriteauxth was a big enough brown to be a contender and had proved himself capable of catching a gold twice in his six turns - what would stop him from catching Iesaryth, or Hraedhyth? Wouldn't R'co, a Weyr native, be a better choice than either Taikrin or H'kon? And wouldn't it be nice to be away from Ista, where his ex-weyrmate was flaunting his new squeeze everywhere he looked?

Plans were set in motion for him to return home properly, for the first time in 12 turns, since he'd gone off to study at the Healer Hall. With the mobility of his business to his advantage, R'co packed up and left Ista behind, returning to High Reaches.

Relationships

Aishani: "I'll play it up in front of her, but I don't think she's trustworthy."
Alida: "Fiesty blonde. Hot. Probably as quick with her fists and knees as she is with her tongue."
Azaylia: "Strong, sexy, woman. I'll be pushing Dev after Hraedhyth when she goes up."
Barnabas: "He seems such a darling under that gruff facade. More drinking and gardening sessions are required."
D'kan: "A decent, solid guy. It'd be good to get to know him better."
  • E'ten: "Decent enough - have to remember not to call him 'darling', though."
  • Hana: "What a peach. I'd have tea with her any time."
  • Hattie: "Could be a good business contact - I think I need to get to know her better."
  • Jo: "There's something shady about her... but that just makes her hotter. Dirty talking with her's something I could do a whole lot more of."
  • K'del: "Don't remember much of him before I left 'Reaches, but now? Huh. Maybe Weyrleader potential again... probably not. I bet Dev could beat Cadejoth."
  • K'zin: "Such a darling, and such pretty lips... I'd like to teach him what he can do with them."
  • N'rov: "Fleeting acquaintance; may be worth getting to know better."
  • Sabella: "A little touchy. Perhaps best to keep Deveriteauxth down when her green starts rising."

Random Stuff

D&D Character

As per this:

Chaotic Evil Human Rogue

Alignment: Chaotic Evil- A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can be made to work together only by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. Chaotic evil is sometimes called demonic because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the best alignment you can be because combines self-interest and pure freedom. However, chaotic evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but also of the order on which beauty and life depend.

Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Class: Rogues- Rogues have little in common with each other. While some - maybe even the majority - are stealthy thieves, many serve as scouts, spies, investigators, diplomats, and simple thugs. Rogues are versatile, adaptable, and skilled at getting what others don't want them to get. While not equal to a fighter in combat, a rogue knows how to hit where it hurts, and a sneak attack can dish out a lot of damage. Rogues also seem to have a sixth sense when it comes to avoiding danger. Experienced rogues develop nearly magical powers and skills as they master the arts of stealth, evasion, and sneak attacks. In addition, while not capable of casting spells on their own, a rogue can sometimes 'fake it' well enough to cast spells from scrolls, activate wands, and use just about any other magic item.
